The burgers and fries were great. I understand they are where they are, but the atmosphere was not the greatest. Food was good enough to not care. I would definitely go back. The tagging in the bathroom was not up to my standards. Their menu was pretty basic, but sometimes basic is better.

Oh my goodness!! For years I’ve heard about this place and today I tried it for the first time. I ordered the quadruple Pretty Classic Burger and it was oozing with delicious flavors!! The fries have a delicious seasoning that paired well with the burger. For my beverage I had an orange soda. I definitely recommend Pretty Good Burger !

Food: ordered a good burger, crinkle cut fries, and a grilled cheese. Hold on… out of those fries, so I ordered onion rings. We were told that the grilled cheese was great.
Service: This was my first time eating here. Wanted to try something new and support local business. I entered the restaurant and was given a so-so greeting by saying we’re only doing to go orders. My reply was order IS to go.
Atmosphere: it was ok, I know they were ready to close shop, but I got there at 4:46 by the receipt time.
Now online, it says they close at 6 pm, but I guess the door says 5pm.
I added 2 pics of the grilled cheese. That’s what my wife wanted. Worst looking grilled cheese I’ve ever seen!
This was my first and last time visiting this business. Not again! All the choices around town I could’ve waited in line at In N Out.

I was left disappointed and with so much to be desired
Overall the burgers weren’t bad, they just had no flavor. Burgers need to be seasoned liberally so the flavor carries through the entire burger.
The buns were pleasing though, it’s always a good sign when a place heats up their buns.
I’m hoping that maybe it was a fluke and maybe they accidentally underseasoned our burgers.
One plus is at least the patties here are SIGNIFICANTLY thicker than another new burger place in town .
We may or may not try again, probably not anytime soon though

It is pretty good. I would rate this burger 8/10 in terms of taste and quality. The price is about $6 for a burger. I usually also get a fry to fill me up. Overall a good choice if you are in Merced downtown.

They have very affordable and delicious food. I always order their specials when they’re available. The environment is clean. They have fun posters and cartoons playing on their TV. Service is quick and polite. My overall impression is that this is the go to spot for burgers. If they were open everyday I’d go more often.

In Merced for vacation and passed by getting some pizza. Menu and reviews drew me in and the pictures sealed the deal. Went for lunch my last day in Merced and sad I’m leaving because this place is the truth when it comes to burgers ! Hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. Fries are definitely the best fries I’ve had and the house made ranch was perfection. We need a “pretty good burgers” in San Diego! Thank and I’ll be back next time I pass through Merced !

The food was amazing and the vibes… however I had a terrible experience with the so called manager. She had a very unpleasant and unprofessional attitude, such a lack of people skills I was truly amazed. Since then I have not been back, and have been upset for the food was good. Hopefully one day the right person notices her nasty attitude.

Pretty Good Burger is not just a name, I felt like I was eating a homemade burger from Mom’s kitchen. Delicious. The fries are awesome too, thick steak fries in crinkle cut form, nice and hot.
