It’s really traditional Taiwanese food. The grandma works there is really nice. Stinky tofu is really good! Highly recommend!
Pork belly is fine too even it doesn’t melt in my mouth.
I wish they would have more drinks options.

The food was good, though not amazing. This is an authentic Taiwanese restaurant, and my friend who is Taiwanese said it’s quite good. I personally found the food a bit oily, and while the stinky tofu was flavorful, it was very stinky — true to its name!

The service was okay. There weren’t many staff members, so they couldn’t attend to everyone promptly, but they were friendly and polite. The restaurant was quite crowded and a bit loud, which made the atmosphere feel a little overwhelming.

Delicious authentic Taiwanese food. There was something for every age group and tastes. The kids loved the popcorn chicken and Bento dishes. The adults enjoyed the spicy beef noodle soup and pork belly burgers.

Haven’t been back to Taiwan since the pandemic, and the cravings for home flavors led me to Chef Cho, a Taiwanese restaurant in the Bay Area, widely touted as the go-to spot. As a previous fan of China Bee’s stinky tofu (sadly closed), I decided to check out Chef Cho based on numerous recommendations.

We arrived promptly at 4:30 pm, just as they opened, and here’s the rundown of our order:

Oyster Pancake: Decent taste, but a bit more crispiness would be great.

Stinky Tofu: Authentic stinky smell – spot on. Wish it came with finely grated garlic on the side.

Taiwanese Steamed Meatball Dumpling: Impeccable bamboo flavor and cilantro topping. Personally, I’d prefer the meatball dumpling steamed first, then fried for an added crispy texture.

Sauteed Lamb in Shacha Barbecue Sauce: Flavorful and delicious, though slightly on the salty side.

Taiwanese Three Cup Chicken: Good taste but a tad too sweet for my liking.

Standout dishes for me were the Oyster Pancake, Stinky Tofu, and Taiwanese Steamed Meatball Dumpling—perfect to satisfy my Taiwanese food cravings.

The owner was incredibly attentive, consistently checking in to ensure everything tasted alright. The food delivery speed to our table was impressively fast—almost comically so. It felt like once we finished one dish, another was promptly on its way!

Looking forward to returning and trying their mutton hot pot next time. Just a heads up, though, this dish may not always be available, so it’s best to call ahead and double-check with the restaurant if it’s on the menu for the day.

Really wanted to like this Taiwanese restaurant, but I was disappointed by the food. Stinky tofu was flavorless, and the oyster noodles were way over cooked with very little taste. Friendly service and a large parking lot. May come back just to try the beef noodles to see if it will change my review.

Traditional Taiwanese cuisine, there are many Taiwanese street food dishes.

Every dish is delicious, like the sakura shrimp fried rice, which is delicious, and the stinky tofu, which has juicy and crispy skin.

It feels like being in Taiwan!!

The dishes at this Taiwanese restaurant are incredibly authentic; they make me cry with the first bite because I miss my hometown so much. The stinky tofu and oyster omelet taste just like what you’d find at a night market in Taiwan. The proportions and sauce pairing are perfect, leaving nothing to be desired. If you’ve never tried stinky tofu, I highly recommend giving it a shot. Stinky tofu is my soul food, and the one served at this restaurant is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, incredibly delicious. I also recommend trying some of their other Taiwanese dishes.
