I had such a great experience at White Crane Retro Thai & Sushi! From the moment I walked in, the vibe felt warm and inviting — it’s modern, cozy, and perfect for lunch or dinner. Their menu blends classic Thai favorites with creative sushi options, and everything I tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. 
I ordered the Pad Thai, soup, and a few sushi rolls — and each dish had its own delicious balance of spices and textures. The online ordering system made takeout quick and easy, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Very good thai food. While the pad see ew didnt have the noodles crispy/chewy how i prefer their take had great flavor. The squid tentacles are outstanding. Chewy substantial and gave the squid flavor you dont often get coming through. Recommend highly.

I’m visiting from out of town and have eaten here twice so far. The first time I tried the sushi and the second time I went with Thai food. Both meals were absolutely fantastic.
The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were bold and well balanced, and everything was beautifully presented. The service was excellent on both visits. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcome.
Whether you’re in the mood for sushi or Thai cuisine, this place delivers. Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.
Bonus points for actually keeping the soy sauce refrigerated. Nobody does this even though it’s clearly stated on the label.

I wanted to like this place so badly but unfortunately, I just felt like it was very bland and overpriced. We chose this option out of other ones that came up due to other reviews and menu options, but it just fell short. I am vegan. My boyfriend is not, so we look for places that offer something for both of us. We both were unimpressed with what we ordered. I ordered teriyaki fried rice with tofu and he got a chicken curry. I forgot which one. I like the dessert options – they are fun. I would highly recommend adding pictures to the menu, as they are super helpful! I actually ended up going a few restaurants down to NaafNaaf after.

The chairs are metal and uncomfortable there are only 3 booths that look relatively comfortable.
The vibe is kind of fast foodish with an industrial like decor. Similar to large fast food restaurants. The music was odd.
I have driven by the location on Harlem ave and wanted to try the Thai food but I also wanted sushi. What a good idea and this restaurant is located close to my home.
I ordered Tom Yum soup it was tasty with plenty of chicken.However there were 5 uncut cherry tomatoes making it difficult to eat the hot tomatoes.
I also had the white crain roll and the soft crab roll and ended with sake salmon sushi . It was ok but not great lacks flavor
unagi room temp. None of the sushi had a lot of flavor it was mediocre at best.
The sushi is priced above its quality level.
I ordered Spicy basil stir fry to go, my wife’s favorite.
I ordered it spicy. I got extra spicy. Not a problem.
The basil stir-fry was packaged with the rice. So, the rice absorbed the sauce leaving it mushy. It was over spiced with, to many green beans. It was difficult to taste the basil.
I thought that the Thai food would get me back but I’m not sure I would give it another try.
My wife said it wasn’t best or the worst basil chicken she has eaten so she would like to try the restaurant.
Overall I give it a 2.5.

Stopped by for the first time over the weekend. Restaurant is huge and ambience is pretty. The menu consists of Thai and Japanese cuisine. The service was good, friendly staff, good portion size and tasted delicious. However we found a strand of hair in the pad Thai we ordered which kinda spoiled our experience. The Thai iced tea was not as sweet compared to other places we tried.

Spacious and very nice. Long line and worth the wait for a Valentines day dinner. Local Thai place is delicious! Best crab rangoon in the area. Sushi is top notch from the Volcanion roll and the White Crane roll. Massaman curry and Pad Khee Mao is delicious and fresh. Service was great even with how busy it was

Absolutely incredible food! Everything is very fresh and came out quickly. The crab Rangoon was perfectly crunchy and not greasy. We had the spicy tuna roll and Mexican roll and they were fresh. The best chicken pad Thai around the Naperville area. So excited this place opened up! The owner is so sweet, too! A great bonus to give our business to kind people!
