If you’re in the area, I highly suggest giving this place a try and this place is quite large and can accommodate very large crowds.
My drink that I had was a mango martini and I just must go back tomorrow for another one.
The best service came from the hostess. In a bar section where there were 2 parties including me. The service at the table was… meh.
I ordered the Menudo for the second time and it was super bland. The Broth lacked the richness that you usually have in a good menudo. It almost tasted stale and watered down. But it definitely lacked flavor.
This is my third visit and I have waited until now to post because I wanted to try all times of day. Unfortunately, the experience today was par for the course.
In my opinion, the food and service does not warrant the cost for the food and drinks
The restaurant was clean and well kept. I could have done without the cleaning person placing the broom & dustpan directly next to where I was seated/eating while she swept dust & debris up.
My friend ordered the 3 enchilada with the 3 different sauces. She wanted 3 different fillings but was warned against it because it would “confuse the cooks” and it likely wouldn’t come out ok. Maybe remove those options from the menu.
Instead she ordered them filled with shredded beef and bit down into what she thought was a thick stick. It looked like a wishbone shaped twig. The waiter said it was the stem of one of the peppers that had been cooked hard. No apology for it or offer to fix it.
The food was very mediocre, service only existed if we waved someone down. The host was lovely but I don’t see a reason to go back. If I had to compare the food, I’d prefer Mazatlan in Tigard. No comparison.
The flight of margaritas is awesome!
My wife’s taco salad (the one served in a crispy shell) had a 1/4” of water on the plate and the shell bottom was totally soggy. When I mentioned it to the server he said it’s because she ordered ground beef. (Why that would be a reason is beyond me.). But she ordered chicken so he prodded in the food with a knife to find the meat and confirmed she got what she ordered. Then he just asked her what she wanted him to do. She was still a bit shocked over the whole scene so she said nothing I guess, and just ate what wasn’t soggy. There was very little chicken in her meal anyway.
My chicken espresso burrito was good but there were hardened clumps of rice inside of it here and there. The sauce and salsa were excellent.
Anyway, I consider our food for this meal aa average Mexican fare but at least for lunch (until 3 pm) it was a bit cheaper.
