I got the lemongrass chicken banh mi and both my husband and brother in law got the fried pork belly banh mi. My husband got an Oktoberfest beer, my brother in law got a coke, and I got a Thai tea.
The lemongrass chicken was edible but not very good. The other people at my table tasted it and said it tasted like cat food. The pork was significantly better over all. The coke tasted watery/watered down like they were running out of syrup in the drink fountain. When I got the Thai tea our server told us that it was the last of what they had so she would be unable to get me a refill but never asked me if I wanted an additional drink and never came to check on us throughout our meal for refills or to ask how the food was.
It was relatively busy when we first got there but foot traffic had slowed significantly/half the tables had emptied by the time we finished our meal and our server was still very absent even as the lunch crowd cleared. I don’t mind waiting during a rush but it’s like she completely forgot about us or deliberately ignored our table even after the lunch rush slowed down.
Other tables who arrived well after we did were being attended to better and every time I tried to flag our server down to get a different drink she disappeared before literally any of us could catch her attention. We finished our food by the time she came back and instead of stopping by our table to check on us she was just gossiping with the table next to ours instead. She must’ve known the people at that table personally or they must have been extremely interesting for her to neglect her other tables. It was easily over half an hour after we had already finished eating and clearly visibly wanted to leave (jackets and bags back on, drinks empty, car keys out) before she finally swung by and asked if we were ready for the check. My husband was getting irritable and suggesting we just leave when she materialized to ask about it and the it was at least another 10 minutes after that when she brought the ticket to the table. She disappeared again so we thought maybe we had to pay at the front counter instead of her taking the card at the table. When we got up to pay the hostess said she had to find our server. I asked if we were supposed to wait on her and let the hostess know that our server had been very absent. When the hostess went to find our server, our server was gabbing with that other table again instead of doing her job. The hostess apologized to us after talking to our server and handled our payment instead of her. I don’t know what they said to each other but our server continued to talk to that table while the hostess took care of us instead of her. I want to note that I always tip. ALWAYS. Even with takeout. This has to be the first time I have ever actively encouraged anyone to not tip but I was going to yell at my brother in law if he tipped after the service was so bad. He did not tip her, thankfully. We were never rude to her. I don’t understand why she neglected our table so badly.
This is fusion food, not authentic, so I recommend against the banh mi if you come here but even if the other food was divine I wouldn’t come here again due to the service being so awful. Pictured below is the lemongrass chicken banh mi and the menu front and back as of 09/13/2025. The bread is too dense and the outer part of it isn’t flaky/crusty like a real bahn mi should be. It fell apart too, authentic banh mi bread is crusty on the outside but pillow soft on the inside and holds together really well. This did not. Before our service got worse and worse as time went on and we waited and waited my husband talked about coming back to try the pho but changed his mind after our service went SO badly.
Poor parking. Limited street parking.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Descent menu. Fair prices.
Food was surprising good. The chicken wings (6) with the Mai Chau sauce was awesome! The pork belly steam bun was not bad. The Japanese Chicken Nugget was tender and delicious (kid’s menu). Cheese burger and fries was average (kid’s menu).
Now, I’m giving this restaurant a 3 out of 5 stars because as I mentioned, I went for Pho. I travel and eat a lot of Pho. The Pho was okay. In my opinion, it’s simplified Pho. You get your typical vegetables. They had Hoisin and Sriracha. The broth was not bad. Not enough noodle.
So conclusion. Great place for Asian food and drinks. If you want good Pho, I probably recommend other place.
The staff was very nice and excited to see us get all the menu. It was a fun experience.
Please respect the time of your patrons. I won’t be returning.
