This was our first stop right after our flight and HOLY wow, it was fantastic. It’s a classic, Hawaiian establishment with no frills but incredible food. Got the chicken Katsu plate with Mac salad, and it was so fresh so flavorful, also HUGE portions, def could share a plate between two unless you are ready for a challenge and want to roll out of there.

Aint noth’n to complain about this place- only got praise for it! Its tucked away into a what previously used to be a chapel.

They gotta tutu running the front and a bustling kitchen cookin’ up the finest of grub. I recon you do take-out as there arent that many tables. The staff are lovely and I try to come here as often as possible.

Ordered the frenchie toast that hit the spot and was topped in powdered sugar and a fixin’ of kalua pua’a.

A local gem Im sure you already know of but deserves endless praise

This is a great local place that just gives you lots of food probably at least two meals unless you’re like me and you just have to eat it all but it was worth it. Reminds me of the food places in them 1970s Hawaii but all the good stuff!!! be nice support local businesses! These guys are worth it we need to support our non-box independent small businesses

Place super small and super busy. The lady behind the counter might seem curt but is actually really awesome. She took our phone number, set aside a table, placed our food on the table, and called us when it was ready. She did warn us it was going to take 40 min, but ended up only waiting about about 23 minutes for our food; totally worth it. My Hawaiian Plate was amazing and filling. Left the restaurant in a food coma. Faithful Grindz is the definition of restaurants that I would consider “hole in the wall.” Local, authentic, delicious. Mahalo.

AMAZING food and the kindest, sweetest people we had to come back for more because it was so good and they remembered our names! The chicken katsu curry plate was 11/10 and the portion sizes are huge! The fried rice moco plate was also amazing and we had to come back to get more!

Not to mention the service was absolutely fantastic with such welcoming staff! Highly recommend and we will be coming back for sure!

Ono local food. Our favorites are: Teriyaki plate, roast pork, cheeseburger with fries. Friendly staff, treat you like family.Sorry about the eaten roast pork pic, my husband couldn’t wait.
Oh! And they have online ordering!

Delicious! We got the Loco Moco and Katsu plate and they were both fantastic! Portion sizes are huge, definitely can split a plate between 2 people if you want. Close to the airport so it was the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat before we flew to out of Maui! Staff were very friendly, definitely will come back again if we ever come back to Maui!

I don’t know why Faithful Grinds only has 4.9 stars when it should have 5. What more could you want? The food is out of this world and it’s less than 10 minutes from the airport.

We had the loco moco fried rice and coconut water. The coconut water tastes better than the mainland. It tastes like toasted coconut.

We will be back.

I would say this little hidden gem is probably the island’s best local plate lunch spot. The portions are plentiful. The flavor is there on every dish. The service is very nice and inviting. You’re greeted. You’re thanked and You’re welcomed back at every visit.I just recently found this place after a year and a half of living on maui. I am i’m originally from oahu, Where plate lunches and hotspots are plentiful. Maui, On the other hand honestly, the food is below par at many places here on maui when it comes to local comfort food.
