Firecracker burger was good. Though, they listed it as very spicy, and it had almost nothing spice to it at all.

Very old school iconic vibe here. This quaint place is warm, comfortable and inviting. The burgers are the best we’ve had in a long time, and brought back memories of those long lost memories of the joints frequented in the late 50’s and 60’s. As we always do in our first visits, we tried several items…Double Cheeseburger, Fries, Tater Tots, Fried Okra, Onion Rings and Sweet Potato Fries. The burger was perfect and all the sides were fresh and crispy. The Hill beats all the craft burger places around!

Wishing they had more stars to choose from as The Hill would get 1000 stars. You could actually taste the quality and flavor of beef in the burgers. The seasoning on sweet potato fries was unique blend of sweet and salty. Best I’ve ever had.

The food is good. The diner atmosphere is nice. The service is severely lacking. The person receiving the order missed an entire meal, which was only caught when the food was brought out. We paid for the meal they missed, then they failed to even bring it out in a timely manner. Final burger meal came out after everyone was finally done eating. After coming for nearly 20yrs, I dont think my family will be returning.

Food: The burgers were okay, nothing memorable worth driving back to. Burgers are kind of slapped together, while I don’t really care too much about the aesthetics (taste > looks), just throwing that out there if you do.
Service: The service was also average, not really friendly, but also not rude. The workers joked around with each other, which is nice to see people enjoying themselves.
Atmosphere: While the interior does have a nice old-timey feel and it is interesting to see, definitely not worth it… That’s because the most memorable part of going there and why I would never go back is they were blasting Fox News on the tv. Since we are not from the area and had a long drive home, we decided to dine in. They could have put on any sports, nature, music channel, or anything else, but they decided that’s what they want their customers to endure.
While I get some people are okay with listening to that, I am just putting this as a warning to anyone who is thinking of dining in and would like to keep their sanity. To each their own, but this was not for me.

The food was fantastic I had a spicy black bean burger an sweet potato fries. My friend had a fried fish basket was excellent. The milkshakes are wonderful. Please stop in and visit the employees are super nice.

This is a Small Town Texas Eatery. They have a number of choices of burgers, sandwiches, and baskets such as a chicken finger basket or a steak finger basket. We purchased regular hamburgers with fries onion rings and an order of sweet potato fries. The fries were okay. I wouldn’t call them great, but we’re average. The sweet potato fries were also average. Both did the job as far as a side dish, but the real winner is there onion rings. They are well worth the money in the wait to get them. The burgers we’re good and I would have them again. The chicken fingers were very good. I only had a bite of one but it was tasty and I could see myself ordering that in the future. On our next trip I will definitely try the malts. The Ambiance of the place really isn’t anything special other than very few tables to sit at and so it can get busy. But they do have a patio area with quite a few tables that you can go out and sit right by the main thoroughfare. You can also get it to go as there is a nice park nearby that you can enjoy the meal. The service was average and the people there were helpful but they were young and we’re doing the best they could. The overall experience was positive and I will definitely be back.

Called in an order for pickup. The young lady who answered was nice, but she talked so fast I was unable to understand most of what she said. The place is quaint and cute; What you want from small town diner. I ordered the Chopped Brisket Sandwich with fries and a coke, at $8.95, it was a good deal. My reason for three stars is I thought the amount of brisket on the sandwich was a bit light and the overall friendliness while in the establishment was missing.

The food is phenomenal, birders LITERALLY THE BEST EVER, and for a great price, great service, and just take it to go or eat it at a local table. I always share this place with my friends from out of town and locally since it’s delicious
