Our big question – how do you actually eat this?!?
Our server was gracious and helpful. Get here early during prime time because they fill up quick!
Dedicated bartender would be a big plus.
They did explain the PNS system was just upgraded so some of the photos are missing.
Try the pumpkin and the peanut sauce!!
The place was clean and the employees were friendly. I’ll try again but go for the BBQ option next time.
The soup bases are delicious & flavorful.
Unique options like bamboo shoot, lotus root, cow tounge, octopus & lamb.
All 10 of us enjoyed, we had 2 people help to take our orders, they were very friendly & the hostess was as well.
One thought I have is it would be great to have a bowl and laddel to remove the soup from the cooking pot to cool a bit before eating
Sofia was so approachable, friendly, and genuinely kind. She truly made my birthday celebration feel special, and I’m so grateful we chose to celebrate here. The food, the vibe, and the service were all incredible.
Always support local businesses — this spot is a gem and I will 100% be back and request her!
The veggies they brought out were 3 slices per dish. 3 slides of zucchini, 3 slides of potatoes ect. What a joke. The lettuces weren’t washed. The calamari was probably frozen but definitely not fresh, tasted pretty gross to me. I turned the grill to the highest setting, but the temperature was very low, either they set it that way or they have inefficient cheap machines that take forever to cook. We spent way longer than we should’ve just waiting for the meats to cook.
They have fried rice and French fries at the sauce bar. That’s so weird, super American, stuff authentic restaurants don’t do. They also miss a lot of stuff a normal BBQ restaurant would offer. Overall, this place is for non-Asians. The lunch price is pretty cheap ($22 only), can’t complain too much, but I don’t mind paying more for something better. My stomach is still feeling pretty gross at the evening.
The hot pot was the weakest part of the meal. We tried the Tom Yum, Golden Lemon, and Szechuan broths, but all of them tasted very mild and lacked depth. The meats were sliced extremely thin and small portion, and the sauce station was missing basics like fresh chili and lemon. The garlic also seemed pre-minced in juice rather than fresh.
The BBQ side was better overall, with most meats being flavorful. However, we had to stop eating for almost 20 mins at one point because we were told to wait for certain meats to be prepared, only to later find out they were out of stock. In addition, One of our hot pot stoves also wasn’t working properly since the beginning of our meal, we raised this up many times to our waitress but she seemed to conclude that it was my friend’s fault not knowing how to cook properly, no solution was offered.
Overall, the meal was mediocre, especially considering the price ($37.99 each). Based on this visit, the value didn’t match the cost, and we likely won’t return anytime soon.
