This is the South-Side’s Secret. Firstly, don’t come with a tiny appetite. You need to be prepared to eat big portions and enjoy better-than-home-cooked delicacies, including BRAISED OXTAILS, Rib Tips, Catfish Nuggets, Cornbread Muffins, Fried Okra, and Mashed Potatoes with their Signature brown gravy. FULL of flavor is the best way to describe the food here. And they have home-made peach and apple cobblers, and red velvet cake, and banana pudding and MORE.

This review is backed by dad, mom, and son. Top-rate food here, deserving 6 stars.

Highly disappointed. I ordered a rib plate, which comes with two sides( Macaroni and potato salad I choose), and I added an extra side of collard greens. The ribs were dry. All the food was cold. The mac & cheese was like a brick, The collard greens were tasteless. But to top it all off, I got all the way home and realized she didn’t put my potato salad in the bag… so I went back of course for the potato salad and asked if possible for fresh ribs,I was told it wasn’t anymore I could order something else.

I found this place through Maps. A family operated Soul Food restaurant with some tasty offerings. I got the Fried Pork Chops with mac and cheese, collards, and a corn muffin. My wife had the Fried Catfish. Reasonable portions of everything. We waited a few minutes as all fried items are cooked upon order. Well worth the short wait. Great stop!

Came in and was looking at the menu. I’m a big oxtail lover. I thought price was a little high for sometimes it not good for 25+. Oxtail was fall of the bone. Collard greens are amazing. I’m not a big fan of the style of Mac and cheese but it was still good. Friendly staff all and all 9/10.

Let me say the staff and The owner was very friendly . Now I’m a soul food lover and this was very nasty . I had turkey wing with gravy , Mac and cheese and yams . The turkey wings was dry and seemed like it was reheated. The Mac and cheese was nasty . The yams was okay but not to my liking . Maybe it was a bad day but I definitely am not satisfied especially laying 48$ for two plates .

The meal, regrettably, fell far short of expectations. As first‑time guests, we opted for a classic vegetable plate, hoping for a comforting, home‑cooked Southern experience. Instead, the execution missed the mark at nearly every turn.
The greens were overwhelmingly salty, masking any natural flavor they might have offered. The black‑eyed peas carried an unmistakably tired, aged taste, corn bread dressing lacked any recognizable flavor suggesting they had both been held far too long. Even the cornbread — a staple that should anchor the plate — arrived disappointingly bland and devoid of the warmth or texture that defines true Southern baking.
The lone highlight of the meal was the cake, which delivered a pleasant sweetness and a well‑balanced finish. Unfortunately, one successful dessert couldn’t redeem an otherwise lackluster Sunday dinner.
We genuinely hoped this would become a reliable spot for homestyle cooking in the South Georgia suburbs, but the experience ultimately underscored the region’s ongoing struggle to deliver consistent, high‑quality comfort food.

HORRIBLE & TASTELESS! DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT waste your money! I was told the owner, CJ cooked the food, he needs to go to a real cook kitchen! My salisbury steak was not cooked all the way! I spent $25 on this overpriced food! The menu said it was $11.99 and I was told that was for turkey only, beef was higher! The gravy was straight grease! No root! dressing nasty! My daughter said the collard greens was nasty! The cheesecake taste like strawberry jam was on top! I have not had food this nasty since The Peach Cobbler Factory! I’m sorry CJ, when you know better, you eat better! Someone should have told you a long time ago, YOU CANT COOK!

We had an AMAZING experience here! I searched for local eateries and we decided based on the menu to give this place a try. The service was great and everyone was so helpful! My catfish was absolute perfection and my husband’s smothered pork chop fell right off the bone. We will def be back to visit with Alexander and get more great food.
