This place is an absolute joke. Three guys that were working on the counter did not know their head from their rear when I asked them. What chicken do they use to cook the chicken Philly they had no clue that should’ve been my first red flag. we ordered three giant sandwiches paid over $80 for three sandwiches. Three bags of chips and two drinks waited for over 30 minutes and the place was not very busy and then they gave me two subs and they never put the paper for the third sub up on the grill for them to make so then I waited for that one when that one came out it was a regular and not the giant for size and they told me that’s what I ordered but yet they still rang me out for three giant subs So I didn’t get my slip for my receipt so they argue with me about that. I’m done with that place never will go back. Worst review I’ve ever left in my life. This place sucks

I think the service and quality is very telling for an establishment that demands its own staff to leave positive reviews to cover up any shortcomings, for which there are a few.
Firstly, in the time I have frequented this location, I’ve found that the staff are understaffed and overworked, and the reason many of these negative reviews come through is due to poor staffing by higher management. However, the prior store manager was very considerate and thoughtful, and she’s been pregnant over the last year. She was always working incredibly hard to maintain the store even in the busiest of hours, but I have come to find out that she was fired unexpectedly….I think with roughly a month left til due. And since her departure? Poor quality, abysmal wait times, and more negative reviews.
Maybe the problem here isn’t the staff or the food. Do better, Jersey Mike’s. If you treated your staff as well as your customers, maybe your positive reviews would be more honest.

It’s not hard to imagine that this place will easily put subway out of business so if you have any stock, you should probably sell out and put it in Jersey Mike’s.
Also, the tall guy is really awesome and does well to greet all the customers and make sure everyone feels well taken care of. I worked in retail management for eight years and it’s really hard to find workers that can come in and give such a positive experience.

Favorite sandwich shop. Foods always good and great portions. Cheaper and better than subway, or firehouse. However the two days I’ve been there the older woman has made my sandwich incorrectly. When I called her out, she said she wasn’t fixing. Because of this, I won’t be going back if she’s working when I come in.

AVOID THIS PLACE! This location SUCKS! They NEVER have tuna. I’ve been in 3 times, always the same, they are out of tuna. It’s staffed with a bunch of lazy, young kids who don’t want to work and hate there job. I guess once they run out of tuna, there’s no such thing as making more? I will never go to this location again. If you are in Augusta and want a good sandwhich, go to HARVEST DELI. They ALWAYS have tuna, and the employees are nice.

Dirtiest sandwich spot I’ve ever seen led by a bunch of workers with zero work ethic. Nothing gets wiped down between orders. Vinegar and other sandwich debris all over the counters, clear oxidized mayo covering there knives that they proceed to use all day without cleaning. I wouldn’t give my worst enemy a sub from this location. This place should be condemned. Only come here if you’re looking to lose your appetite and get sick.

Waited a very long time to get a chance to try this sub shop after watching Danny De Vito selling them for years. I believe if DeVito or Manning experience the service and food at the Augusta Maine location they would go to work for Jimmy John’s. We phoned our order in and upon arriving met three men behind the counter that had no idea why we were there. After about 40 minutes a young girl, that was obviously the same person that took our order, came from our back with our subs. The Italians in the order were over loaded with lettuce which we asked for none so we couldn’t eat half the food. We will never go back.

Jersey Mikes is a “sub below”. I really had high hopes for the augusta location. When they first opened the quality was there 100%. Over time the restaurant has declined significantly. I always order a turkey and roast beef sub with bacon and mikes way. The last 3 times in a row the meat has been so scarce. Maybe 3 paper thin slices of turkey folded over and maybe 2 slices of paper thin roast beef. So thin I can barley taste the meat in the sandwich. I even brought this up quietly to a worker as I wasn’t sure if this was a corporate move to save money or a specific location issue. Well nothing changed even after bringing up the concern to a worker. It was the same let down as the times before. I am a man and I want a real sub with a hefty amount of turkey and roast beef when I go here. That’s what all of us want. I never write these reviews but I have been so disappointed from what used to be my favorite restaurant that I had to comment. I will never go to a Jersey Mikes again.

I ordered the giant #6 (Roast beef with Provolone). The sub was pretty good with a decent amount of meat. Could’ve used a bit more cheese and the wheat roll wasn’t the freshest but still pretty good. My only complaint was the girl slicing the meat looked like she really didn’t want to be there. No smile or friendly greeting.
