The service was good and the waiter was friendly and polite
For the meal : I had the Mac and cheese and it was pretty mid, I did not really like it. For the other pasta it was really good but some very spicy for the jollof rice and plantain the plantain was fried in the oil of the goat meat which wasn’t very nice.
Cutlery was already laid out before we arrived thereby allowing dust to settle on it. For that expensive price point per meal, there should have been some form of free starter.
In all it was a good enough experience.
We started off with Spicy Goat Meat Tacos which tasted nice but a bit too sweet. Drinks arrived in no time. Although their menu says ‘cocktail’, none of the drinks contained alcohol, they were just mocktails. I had Mango waltz which was probably a bad idea because mango wasn’t in season. I didn’t enjoy it at all and would go for a different drink next time.
The Mains arrived -Mixed Seafood Linguine and Salmon Fillet with roast Irish potatoes. I’d rate the meals 3/5. They were quite okay, just didn’t stand out to me.
Overall, it’s a nice restaurant.
I had linguine pasta and sangria on my first visit, I didn’t really enjoy the pastor but it wasn’t bad, it’s probably my taste buds at the time.
On my second visit, we had a platter of jollof, white rice, wings, plantain, and burgers (had to take home) with whisky sour I think. The jollof rice was so, so good, it was overall a wonderful platter.
I don’t know about their picture policy but I was able to take pictures in my sitting area.
Coah Lagos is a really perfect spot for brunch, I haven’t been there for a dinner, so I don’t know.
I only rated 3 because of the poor service, everything else was good.
First off, we walked in and for a millisecond we were unsure of what to do or go. We placed a reservation for 7pm and there was no one at the entrance to ask about it or direct us to a table. Just a server who pointed to any table for us to sit. Then he came around to ask for our order and we quickly gave them to which he responded it’d take 30 mins. Unimpressed, but we said nothing. After a short while, we realized the server was apparently the only one available and was taking orders from everyone else BEFORE going to place ours.
The highlight was that 30 mins later, the server comes back to ask us, if we were ready to order and honestly the whole situation was laughable. Was he just about to place an order he collected 30 minutes ago??! We were sorely confused and in disbelief. He kept assuring us it wasn’t the case and said we’d get ours in 15 minutes.
15 minutes later he comes out with food for the tables beside and adjacent us, both of which came in AFTER us.
It’s officially an hour and 15 minutes we’ve been seated waiting for a meal that was supposed to get here 45 minutes ago.
P.S: The drink came after we complained around the 1 hour mark
The food is delightful, with a menu offering something for everyone. For those seeking exclusivity, the private upstairs space is ideal, with a minimum spend of ₦45,000 per head, perfect for celebrations or special gatherings. A live violinist enhances the experience, creating a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere.
COAH Lagos is a perfect spot for anyone looking for a memorable and high-end dining experience in Lagos.
