I had an incredible experience at this restaurant. The waitress was super friendly and accommodated to everything so well. I ordered the Reuben and it was the best sandwich I had in my life. I couldn’t believe it because I didn’t think it would be as good since it is located in an airport. But, the atmosphere, customer service, and food is as good as it gets. I’m a foodie and review food a lot and if you happen to be in the airport with a layover then you should definitely stop by. Also get an Iron City Beer (local to Pittsburgh) to make the experience even better definitely recommended 10/10

I had the Rueben Sandwich. I prefer sauerkraut but the coleslaw worked great. The fries would sometimes fall off. This is a messy sandwich, but it tasted delicious, and had half a pound of meat on it for $13. This is an excellent deal for an airport

The service was quick and the waitstaff was on their game despite it being relatively busy for 3 PM.

I would be more than happy to come back here. Good food AND good service in an airport? Unheard of!

UPDATE: I had The Capone (capitola, hot italian sausage, and provolone) on a different visit. It cost $11. It was truly an excellent sandwich, they didn’t mess around with the meat. Make sure you keep a tight grip though, as the toppings WILL start to come off because of how stuffed they are onto the bread.

This is a true bargain in the airport.

We enjoyed a nice lunch at Primanti Bros while waiting for our flight. We got the capicola & cheese sandwich and the steak salad. Our server was friendly and attentive. We’d recommend stopping by for a Pittsburgh classic.

Wow! I searched the airport during my 3 hour layover for a restaurant and others looked inviting but, the quality here was so good I can’t wait to have another flight here! It was so packed with everything that I was able to eat the rest when I landed. Flavor and quality! I was expecting the normal airport quality food and for it to be expensive but, it was excellent and a fair price. I’d love to have one near me!

Atmosphere- 4 stars- this location is located at the Pittsburgh International Airport. Very clean with ample seating. Full bar with several large screen TVs.

Service- 5 stars- Lexi was our waitress and she did an awesome job. It was fairly busy but she was very attentive. She kept my drink refilled and checked on us frequently. She was very friendly and helpful!!

Food- 4 stars- Food came fairly fast and it was tasty. We both had the Pittsburgh Grilled Chicken Salad. At first it looked like a kinda small portion for the price however it was more than enough and eating inside of an airport you’re gonna pay higher prices.

Stopped at Primanti Bros at the Pittsburgh airport and was genuinely shocked by the quality and value. I got a personal 10” pizza with three toppings for just $9.99—delicious and freshly made. The service was excellent, and the friendly waitress made the experience even better. If you’re passing through this airport, definitely check this place out!

Many times when someone learns that I lived in Pittsburgh, they ask if I’ve had a sandwich from Primanti Bros. Even though I lived there for two years, my answer was no. I decided to try one when I went back for my class reunion. I was very underwhelmed by my sandwich. I got the corned beef and there was more coleslaw and bread than anything else. There was very little meat and very few French fries on the sandwich. The coleslaw was a bit more vinegary than I like. The sandwich was tasteless, other than the vinegar on the coleslaw. I was also disappointed when I learned that they didn’t have gluten free bread, although it’s on the menu for their other locations. Overall, I can now say that I had a Primanti Bros. sandwich, but do not understand the hype.

So I was told this was the place to check out while in Pittsburg so I did while heading back home I stopped in here and ordered my sandwich Togo. I got the turkey and cheese sandwich. Portion size is great , I was aware already about the fires and coleslaw on it so that didn’t bother me. It was just really lacking flavor , like a sauce on it would’ve made it taste better or something. I won’t completely knock it because they have other food options so I would be willing to give it another try and possibly a different sandwich.

A true Pittsburgh institution! Regardless of the location you choose, the sandwiches are a religious experience. I’d highly recommend the “Pigs Can Fly” and Buffalo Chicken. Always get the works which includes fries and coleslaw on the sandwich.
