We kept seeing so many reviews on Katy Foodies we decided to come and try. In absolutely no way did this disappoint. We tried various things…based off what we wanted/liked and also by comments made by staffing. Everything was just absolutely amazing. The peking ducking is absolutely superb. The walnut shrimp was amazing. We also tried the chicken fried rice, won ton soup, hot & sour soup, red oil dumplings, chicken xiao long bao, and the black gold lava bao. Everything was so delicious. The flavor was on point. The staffing was so friendly and we in no way felt rushed. The atmosphere was nice too. We really enjoyed not only the amazing food and the wonderful staffing as well.
We ABSOLUTELY will be back!!

We came here from LA, so our expectations for Chinese food were honestly not very high—especially compared to what you can find in Los Angeles. But this place completely exceeded our expectations.

The food was very authentic, the restaurant itself is upscale, clean, and welcoming, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality you get.

Highly recommended dishes:
• Guizhou Sour Beef
• Black Lava Bao
• Roasted Chicken
• Walnut Shrimp

We were also craving cumin beef, even though it wasn’t on the menu. We asked our waitress, and the kitchen kindly made it for us—and it was absolutely delicious. If you have a specific craving, don’t hesitate to ask; they’re very accommodating when possible.

They’re currently in a soft opening phase, and you can really tell they’re putting in their best effort to make every guest feel at home. Please be respectful and appreciative of their hard work—they truly deserve it.

We’ll definitely be coming back.

This place deserves more attention.
Service was Immaculate. I ordered Red Oil Dumplings , Salted egg yolk tofu, half a Peking Duck, and Lava Bun. All of them were well-seasoned but can be a bit salty for some. Highly Recommend!

Food was very good! The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is due to the slow service and small portions. The manager did warn us before seating that they were behind, which we appreciated. Both the manager and servers were very nice, but it seemed like the kitchen was backed up and struggling to keep up with orders. I would definitely come back to see if the service improves.

The Shrimp Xiao Long Bao was good, but some of the bao had very little soup inside. The Peking duck was very good and not dry at all. The kids loved the flat noodles, but wished there was more beef. The salted egg tofu was SO good—just a tad too salty. We also ordered the House Special Black Pepper Angus Beef Cube to go, and it was very flavorful and tender. It was still tender even after reheating at home.
