I will be honest, when people ask me where I get my Chinese food from, a part of me doesn’t want to say. The food is just that good, but I have told so many people to eat what I think is the BEST and freshest Chinese food in the Albany area.
The owners put so much love into the food and the service that you can feel it as soon as you walk in. I order from here all the time and realized I hadn’t done a review. While most people want food delivery, OP is pickup only and that just adds to the charm. I guarantee whether you pickup or eat in, you will not be sorry about the choice to eat here.

Just go there. Eat there, don’t be crazy and go somewhere else! Also make sure you treat the space and owners with respect always.
Deuces,
Vin Vin

Better than your average Chinese restaurant as it tastes homemade with original seasoning. Great dim sum especially the rice rolls, pork buns and spareribs in black bean sauce. Very pleasant service. Worth a trip.

Absolutely delicious. I had the shrimp rolls, the dim sum dumplings and pan friend noodles with shrimp. Food was hot and fresh when I picked it up. Also the hostess that helped me over the phone was really kind and helpful when solidifying my order.

This is always the first place I recommend when people ask about Chinese food in Albany. They recently opened back up for dine-in service and it’s a joy to sit there for lunch. My recent favorite dish is the chicken with Chinese vegetables lunch special but have loved the congee and other dim sum items as well as classics like orange chicken and beef with garlic sauce. They’re also so nice!

I absolutely loved the lunch I just had here. I dined in and the owner was an absolute gem. She was warm and welcoming, and the meal I received really felt home-cooked. I chose Mongolian beef made spicy (a 6) and it was precisely what I’d hoped for. I especially loved the light touch of fresh ginger added to the stir fry.
Next time I visit I’ll crank up the spicy level a bit more, as I like it to hurt a bit I definitely recommend Ocean Palace.

This is the spot! The husband/wife couple that own it are sweet as can be and their food is made with quality ingredients in house. Have you ever had Sweet and sour chicken made with real chicken and not just batter and grizzle? I have. It was right here. Ocean palace has authentic daily specials and amazing classic dishes. Check them out.

Large amount of food, great prices. Okay flavor. The general tso’s tofu was good as were the crab ragoons. The hot and sour soup and the vegetable fried rice were a bit bland. Nicely packaged for take out.

They only had takeout service when I went. Dim sum was good enough, that I would come back again to try out other stuff. Service was good, staff was quite friendly. We had a small conversation, and I’m not even the type to strike up a conversation too. Got their lotus sticky rice, shumai, and tripe. I’ll probably try other things out of curiosity. Better to call ahead for pickup.

Hands down the best Chinese food I’ve had in Albany. Try the Pork Soup Dumplings! It’s humble appearance is a testiment to how serious they take the quality of the food.
Great selection, great value, great service. I have never been let down by Ocean Palace and I don’t I ever will.
