This restaurant is amazing. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, everything was truly delectable.
We tried the crispy chick, grits with brisket (special of the day), biscuits and gravy, and breakfast burrito. Between the four of us, we shared all of these dishes. None of us could decide on what we liked best.
We got to sit outside on the quaint partially covered patio, and it was nice that the weather was also perfect for this.

This place is absolutely amazing! I’ve eaten breakfast all over the world and the brisket grits bowl was absolutely the best breakfast dish I ever had. Chef Cole is amazing! The staff are friendly and love working for this place. They have warm smiles and you can tell their heart is in this place. This is a 5* experience worthy of a Michelin star! Highly, highly recommend!

Kinfolk was nice and quiet early on a Friday morning. We ordered orange juice, coffee, sausage biscuit and gravy and the breaky bowl. Everything was perfect! The interior of the place is adorable and the service was fantastic. Can’t wait to come try the lunch items! Mud island is lucky to have such a lovely little diner!

We kicked things off with coffee and mimosas, then waited a bit too long for the food. But when it arrived, the chicken biscuit and chicken biscuit sandwich were absolutely worth it—so good! The breakfast burrito, though, was a bit underwhelming.
I wasn’t too hungry, so I went for a griddle cake—kind of like a pancake but with more texture. Served with maple butter and syrup, it had just the right amount of sweetness, and I loved every bite!

I enjoy trying new places to dine in Memphis! This is my first time here so I went with the recommended SAUSAGE BISCUIT with egg and cheese and their special sauce on the side. I also had a CEASAR SALAD with chicken.
The biscuit was a little hard to me but if that’s what the standard is then it’s honestly okay. The salad was fresh and the type of chicken that was on it had a sweetness to it that I enjoyed!
It’s nestled in a nice corner in Harbor Town and the service (and parking) worked out well!

I don’t know who grandma gave them this biscuit recipe, but good gawd, it’s good. This place has had me in a choke hold for months now. This chicken biscuit is gargantuan. It’s well seasoned and cooked well. The grits take you by surprise upon first bite, but then your taste buds settle, and your palate appreciates this take on grits. Not sure all that goes into the oatmeal, but go ahead and bless yourself with a bowl, and don’t forget that butter that’s on the side. If you have the pleasure of going in and Crystal is at the bar,you, my friend, are in luck. Not only will you be well taken care of, but you drink will be immaculate. The price of the mimosa had me second-guessing the need for libations, but I decided to take a gamble and give it a go. That thang had me in there, lip smacking and smiling. It was so good I gladly paid the tab. She also makes a glorious espresso martini. I don’t care how long the wait go and enjoy.

How in the world do you make a breakfast salad make sense?? Ask Kinfolk, because they have done it!! The Breaky Bowl is absolutely amazing! The dressing is great and compliments the eggs, hash browns and chicken to perfection! The biscuit breadcrumbs and fresh Parmesan provided the most elegant touch! Service was great and it’s always a good vibe here!!! The pecan sticky bun with cream cheese was amazing as well. The coffee is ok, but I will tolerate it because everything else was top notch!! What a great way to bring some excitement to breakfast /brunch selections!

This place is number 1 on my breakfast list! My waiter was amazing, she made sure I had everything I needed and checked on me regularly. The atmosphere was amazing and the food knocked my socks off! The chicken biscuit was so good! The flavors combined perfectly the way the cheese melted perfectly with the eggs and the chicken had some kind of flavor sauce to it that made me want to slap my knee. Very good spot come by and enjoy the atmosphere and food you won’t be disappointed

I LOVED the food!! It tasted amazing and so good the customer service was excellent!! The waitress was so friendly and sweet , the only thing is that the place is pretty small so it get quite packed and crowded and the since it is in downtown it is also pretty pricey but overall everything else was excellent!!

If you are within a 5 hour drive of Memphis, get in your car and speed there! Kinfolk is insane. I live in Nashville and have been here more repeat times than anywhere in my town. They make their biscuits from scratch (you can buy them frozen for home). They are salty and buttery and so flavorful. They have nailed breakfast chicken and make a potato hash brown you can’t sleep on.
