I got a new Canaan special number 2 1/2 pound of nuggets and a bag of Swedish fish cost me $20 only had four pieces of chicken. This being my lunch was unacceptable and I had more fries than I could imagine and like someone mentioned you must eat them hot. Luckily I had hot sauce that made it OK but maybe more than Four pieces of chicken and this meal would’ve been OK at the least

Looking for something like that, the nuggets and the fries in the bag I would recommend chicken Joe or at least red rooster.

I’m a big fan of this place although I try not to eat here that often since it isn’t the healthiest. For being fried the chicken is not greasy, the seasonings are great, and I love their cones which are fried mashed potato balls. The prices are a little high and regardless of what size or combination I get I feel that I end up with the same amount of food. Always a nice treat when we go.

This is the best restaurant in all of New Canaan. The people who work here are the absolute kindest people you’ll ever meet and the food is AMAZING! Not to mention they have the most unique and delicious seasoning on the planet. The service is quick and reliable with reasonable prices. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

New Canaan Chicken is mainly a take-out kitchen but they can seat a few people. They are conveniently located on Main Street down town. The price is reasonable and the food is tasty. It feels a little funny to eat out of to-go containers but if you are hungry, you don’t really care. The place is small. I felt the staff was concerned that you got what you wanted. I have a feeling that this is a family run place.

The food is good, but they often get the order wrong. We just ordered 1/2 lb of chicken nuggets with cones (my favorite). They packaged chicken nuggets + fries with cones. When I queried whether there was really 1/2 lb of chicken nuggets in the bag, the owner assured me there was. When I get home, there is a grand total of 3 nuggets in the bag underneath all the fries and it weighed all of 0.2 lbs. Lame.

Unfortunately this happens on a regular basis so while I like the food (particularly the cones), I won’t be going back.
