This review was wayyy long overdue because these people deserve all the praise they can get.
I never liked quiche truly could never even stomach it. DS changed my mind about quiche from a former hater going on 20+ years. I’m sharing this fact because that is how good everything at DS is. It makes you love stuff and even crave it even though a week prior you hated the dish.
I have now been getting a weekly quiche (and a little sweet treat) every week. Genuinely nothing is bad there to the coffee, food, sweets, and even smoothies:) Employees are always the kindest sweetest people around and the owner is a doll!! You feel so warm when you enter into DS and it truly makes my morning commute to work bearable (and I am not a morning person haha).
Love them so much I know am starting to make my work cater them. The amount of people this week asked where I got it was not surprising, If you are thinking about catering or just ordering here PLEASE DO. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT

This is going to be a long one for those who are hesitant to go. Do yourself a favor and go!!! I’ve passed this place for a year now and so glad I decided to go in today!!! I WILL BE BACK!!! 1st the positive energy you feel when you walk in , is amazing. You can feel the love. 2nd the staff , as someone that has worked in the hospitality industry for 30 plus years, you can tell they enjoy being there. 3rd the cleanliness, I’d feel comfortable dropping something on the floor and picking it up and eating it , it’s that clean. Last but not least the food of course… The peaches & cream buttermilk coffee cake is soooooooo good. I’m just upset I didn’t get another but that’s ok , I’ll be back. I had a bite of everything I ordered, s’mores , Chewbacca (they already won my heart because I am a Star Wars guy) LemBerry cheesecake bar , cheesecake brownie bar and the peach cheesecake bar…. All of them were so good. The bars and coffee cake are bigger fyi they are just missing a few bites. I paid $29 for everything and it was worth more!!! Thank you for the great experience and I will become a regular

We ordered the cassata cake for our daughter’s baptism and were pleasantly surprised! The cake was delicious, we got so many compliments from our family. Even my husband, who does not care for cake, said it was the best cake he’s ever had. Would highly recommend and would order again!

This was our first time visiting this café and it is beautiful! From the food, the interior design, the warm professional welcoming from the staff, and delicious selection of foods.
The baked goods are top notch! We got their brookie bars, chocolate pretzels, brownie and a dozen adorable moist carrot cupcakes!
We also got three different kinds of sandwiches: Turkey Bacon Club, Three Cheese Grilled, and a Tuna Melt. All 3 were fresh, tasty and filling! The packaging of the sandwiches were clean and neat in cute boxes with napkins provided!
They offer hot drinks, coffee, lattes, espressos, we have yet to try them.
Instead we had their bottled beverages off the cooler.
The service was excellent and welcoming. We will certainly be back soon!

Diane and the team at DS Cakes made the wedding cake and desserts for our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding in October. The cake was beautiful and the desserts fabulous. Everything was a hit with our guests. We highly recommend DS Cakes for your special event!

First time visiting today! Incredible cozy atmosphere with alot of seating area indoor and outdoor. Amazing selection of baked goods their cupcakes and brownies are delicious! Me and my sisters also ordered hot sandwiches my tuna melt was delicious! The workers were very friendly and the prices were great for the highest quality tasting food. Very clean inside! I will definitely be visiting again! I can’t wait for their Christmas baked goods to try! Go to DS Cafe in Newbury!!

Fascinating place with everything from super healthy food and drinks to down-and-dirty sugar and calories of decadence. Many gluten-free products, fruit drinks, and yes, coffee. Exquisite cakes and desserts as in the store title, but a deli also with soups, salads, and sandwiches. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the chocolate mousse pictured. The new-berry super smoothie named after the town wasn’t sweet.

Some of the BEST coffee that I have had in my entire life. I tried the vanilla nut coffee and I was obsessed. I wish I knew where it was from so I could get some more because I live so far. The interior of this place was very cute too. I loved the rustic chic feel. We tried the egg and spinach panini and it was delicious. I wish I could eat here everyday. Amazing.

Lovely local bakery with lots of variety! I tried their shortbread cookies and a selection of different bars: Maple, cheesecake, and their take on Twix bar. All desserts were fresh and delicious! Very well priced too.
