My family found this small restaurant for a late dinner on our way through Missouri. We enjoyed our double cheese burger, fish sandwich, grilled cheese, Cobb salad, mozzarella sticks, milkshakes and blizzards. I loved that there are so many flavors to pick from for the milkshakes. The chili cheese fries were just okay (I should have just had a 2nd burger instead). Everything was only ~$48 plus tip.

The serving sizes were ample, and the staff was very friendly.

There is only outside seating, but the weather was nice.

May seem promising, but it’s mediocre fare. If you’re looking for something special in this little burger stand, you are in for a disappointing surprise! I stopped to get a cheeseburger and side. I wanted to try the fried cauliflower, something I’ve never seen at such a place. No luck. They accept cash or check only, and I only had enough for the burger. BTW, it took 5 minutes before they took my order. They just kind of ignored me until they were ready. I expected it to take 10 minutes. 25 minutes later, I get my food. Little did I know the place was not as small as I had thought, and there was an entire inside area with numerous tables, almost all of which were occupied! Well, that explained the wait, but what in the heck is a restaurant that serves so many people doing not accepting credit and debit cards? Finally, the burger was okay. It tasted like a homemade burger made from a defrosted pre-formed patty cooked on a stove, not grilled. It was slapped together with a squirt of mayo here, a squirt of ketchup there, veggies tossed on haphazardly. I had to take it apart and adjust everything before eating. If you are passing through, try the Casey’s or Hy-Vee, instead.

A small town gem! This is what I think about when I classic American diner food. Friendly staff, quick service and a decent menu.

The burgers are very good and the orders of fries are huge! The tenderloins are good as well. I really enjoyed the fried mushrooms even though I am sure they were pre made.

The ice cream is excellent and I want to try the banana split when we go back.

If you go, they only take cash or checks. No cards.

The best place to eat in Unionville hands down. The food is actually good looks good and tastes good. The prices on everything is affordable. The service seems decent although it does take quite awhile for ur order to get done even when ur the only customer. The Caseys here is disquisting and CJs you stand there for over 10 mins and they act like you dont exsist, very rude. Dairy Lane is by far the absolute best place to eat and the ice cream is fantastic

Been here many times. Never had a bad meal. The fried chicken is excellent, but so is pretty much everything else. My personal favorite is the chocolate malt!

This classic institution has been around in Unionville for ages even when others have come and gone, and for good reason.

Not only does it serve as a nice place to get a frozen treat, but a cheap and tasty bite as well.

Food was great. Called in our order and was told 20 min. Showed up 25 min later and they said we just needed to wait for our shakes. Checked our bag and didn’t have 3 of our 4 fries that we had paid for. Waited an additional 10 minutes and was only given 2 of the 3 and they were almost raw. Didn’t bother going back at that point since we had waited 25 min since arriving, and additional 25 min since calling it in.
