My Spouse received a voucher for a free BUFFET last week on our weekly Casino Rendezvous.
We decided to bring our grandson to the buffet yesterday.
I payed $73 which included 15% gratuity and he used his voucher.
Your process to redeem the voucher was for him to sign a copy of the receipt that was placed in the cashier’s drawer.
The lady that seated us was so rude to us that I had to tell her she was being very rude and she asked What’s My Problem?
I chose to not engage any further with her and told Sylvester and our grandson to ignore her and don’t let her ruin our dinner and proceeded to the Buffet.
Sylvester was stopped at the buffet and told to put his plate back because he did not pay.
How embarrassing. People are staring and looking and he was walked away from your buffet empty handed.
He came back to the table with the lady that worked there.
I had him go in his pockets and he provided his receipt and then he was welcomed to go back and remake his plate.
Why offer complimentary buffet for play if a person has to be belittled for using it?
Why not use Communication Skills and communicate with your cashier’s before confronting your guest and telling him to put his plate back?
Why not let him take his already prepared plate back to the table and sort it out there?
The host that seated us was kind to everyone else that she seated and the only difference between us and everyone else is Sylvester is an African American Man.
Is this a Whites Only Buffet? We Didn’t See Any Signs Posted.
We got the message Loud & Clear. We Are Not Welcomed.
We enjoyed our weekly Monday Rendezvous at your Casino but if we are not welcomed to eat we don’t want to be welcomed to spend our money gambling.
I guess we will try Harrah’s moving forward and this will be made public.
You Should Be Ashamed. Good Grief it’s 2026
Although you can rebuttal that the way we were treated was not racially motivated and just Bad Manners

Came for the Friday evening crab legs. Full house, but everyone on the staff made sure to make a crowded dinner service feel smooth and easy. Everything we tried was great. The prime rib was delicious and perfectly tender. The beef bourguignon, pho, and mashed potatoes were also all great. And of course, the crab legs – the crab legs were amazing! Eat as much as you can, there will still be more. My advice? Get small amounts, and just keep going up for more. That way you’re always eating hot, fresh crab! They will not run out, it’s awesome.

Ngl I was skeptical about this place cus the reviews are so low but it was where my mom really wanted to go so I didn’t want to ruin it by telling her about the reviews so we went & ended up enjoying the crab leg buffet. The line took about 45 mins to wait in but once we sat down we went straight to the buffet. The crab legs were constantly being dropped fresh every 10 mins on each side of the buffet, the staff were nice including our server, always refilled our sodas & emptying the crab bucket. She was very kind telling us to take our time, no need to rush! I brought my own seasoning & garlic for the crab leg butter to give it a lil spice. The sides were okay but we went for AYCE crab legs anyway, the steak was good too, they stopped serving medium rare around 8:30, rest of the night was well done steak. The crème brûlée was good too

My husband, my child, and I came to the buffet at the former casino after seeing a very big and appealing advertisement. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet our expectations.

The staff is polite and friendly, which is a positive point. However, the buffet itself was disappointing. The food was not tasty, some items seemed old, the meat was cold, and overall the quality and freshness were lacking.

This is not a place I would recommend for those looking to enjoy a good meal or a pleasant dining experience. The advertising creates expectations that are not fulfilled in reality.

I came for the prime rib. It was as dry as the Sierra Desert. No flavor to it I a little bit of it and I left it. I told the staff and they went back and they told the chef apparently. Other food was just as bad the only thing that was decent was pecan pie. The service was good the staff were friendly but the atmosphere less than perfect.

These reviews are wild. We had a great experience. They staff was so friendly and helpful. We had two 2 year olds and the staff was very accommodating and nice. The food was pretty good there were a couple items that could have been better like the corn was pretty over cooked and not edible and the ice cream very melty but the crab legs, orange chicken and pho were all great. Oh and the rolls were delicious! Overall had a great experience

The Saturday night buffet is garbage for $40. It’s supposed to be prime rib but it’s not. I had 2 pieces and I know one was strip cooked like prime rib. Flavorless and plenty of gristle I had to spit out. I’ll never go there again.

Went for the BBQ and it was just okay. Ribs were NOT ribs which was disappointing! Why all the food just barely warm? No matter what you ate! Why were the rolls so wrinkly they looked days old? Plus, for $40 per person I expect better options for dessert. I dont want to spend $40 for a cookie. Plus, lots of meat options were chicken, chicken is cheap. Very low par considering the price. I was with 2 others and NONE of us have any intentions of going back!

Everyone at Ameristar Buffet was so kind and attentive — the service was genuinely wonderful, and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. It really should have been a great experience… but the food just wasn’t edible.

My partner and I tried a bite of nearly everything available, and the best we could describe anything as was “okay.” The mashed potatoes were gummy, the mac and cheese had no flavor at all, and the fried chicken was dry and bland. It honestly felt like hospital food.

I had gone specifically for the prime rib, but it was the toughest, most flavorless rib I’ve ever been served. The au jus was watery and nearly tasteless — thank goodness for the salt and pepper shakers on the table, though even those couldn’t save it.

The only thing that was passable were the potstickers — clearly frozen from a bag, but at least they came with sauce.

The staff didn’t even blink as they cleared our untouched plates and continued to be friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the food was so bad that we left genuinely shell-shocked. I don’t think I’d eat here again, even if it were free.

We enjoyed the crab legs on Fridays. My companion loves seafood, and I love Chinese food. We’re able to satisfy all of our cravings here. The créme Brule is outstanding!
