We stopped at Haring’s on our way to Boston and really enjoyed it. The restaurant is right by the waterfront, and the view is beautiful. The lobster bisque was delicious, and the lobster roll was especially good — packed with plenty of lobster. A very nice spot with great food and a lovely setting.

I read that they had great food, and I have to agree. I happened to be passing through the area and figured I would stop in. I am very glad I did. This is a very cozy restaurant on the water with a warm nautical theme. The New England clam chowder was very tasty, not overly creamy with lots of clams and potatoes. The warm lobster roll was loaded with lobster and it wasn’t overly buttered. Their potato salad was excellent, I usually don’t like potato salad but this had a nice mix of herbs and not too much mayo. Thank you for a great dining experience.

The parking is spacious and free. The view os waterfront. The staff were friendly amd atmosphere was enjoyable.

We had the cheddar bay biscuit appetizer with a lemon butter spread. Very delicious and large enough to share. My wife had the fish and chips which had a large piece of cod. The batter was very tasty and fish fresh. The fries were fresh cut and crispy fried.

My father-n-law had the fried whole belly clams. Could not stop bragging about how amazing they were.

Our uncle had the linguini and clams with a blue fish salad. Really enjoyed the dinner. Daid it was good and filling.

Our aunt had the New England clam chowder which she said was excellent.

I had the Bisquets and Gravy. It was a cheddar bay biscuit with a half pound of lump lobster meat in between. Served with a lobster bisque, sherry, and garlic gravy. It was a deliciously amazing dinner. One of the most enjoyable meals I have ever had

Great place to eat, a must try.

Tucked away with the most spectacular view Harings in Noank is an absolute gem. The menu is as beautifully curated as the decor. Our server was knowledgeable about the catch of the day, thoughtful with her recommendations (lobster bisque is a can’t miss, oysters and tuna–we got all 3 plus a few more!) and we didn’t feel rushed in the least despite the restaurant clearly being packed. What a treat to be encouraged to sit and linger over a meal and a beautiful view when so many restaurants push to turn tables over as quickly as possible. Heads up: it’s BYOB but they make ordering from the local package store easy and it’s delivered right to you. We will return and often.

I’ll start off by saying I have to agree with some of the previous reviews. I went several times when it was Ford’s Lobster and never really had a complaint.
My wife and I decided to swing by on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. I ordered the Harings Smash Burger which brings Lobster. My wife ordered the fish and chips. In addition we ordered oysters, chips and salsa and a side of Cajun fries.
I have to say the best part was probably the salsa and chips and the oysters. The smash burger wasn’t “smashed and was overcooked along with the lobster. The fish and chips had no real flavor and the Cajun fries and regular fries were soggy and flavorless.
If the food would have been seasoned just a bit would have made a world of difference.
If we are in the area we may give it another shot. On this ocasion we drove about an hour from our home and we ended up disappointed, which we won’t do again.
On the flip side service was good and the view was good to have a relaxing lunch.

Great place to have local seafood specialties right on the water. Great service. food was AMAZING! Dogs allowed in outdoor seating. They even brought out water for the dogs. Docks where boats pull right up and they bring the food and tables and chairs right out to the boat to eat at. I had the burger bomb, double smash burger with cheese and lobster meat. My wife had the hot buttered lobster roll. Both were incredible!! For starters we had a stuffed and the cheddar bay biscuits. You have to try both! Love this place. Will definitely stop again next time in the area. The dogs loved it, looking out over the water and watching the boats come in and go out. Amazing time.

Our last stop on our Cape Cod trip was Haring’s, Noank, CT. On the Mystic River, a wonderful seafood shack, that happened to make the New York Times. Definitely lived up to the review, as did chef Chris Vanasse. My fantasy is to rent a place in Mystic for a week and eat at Haring’s every day (or night), until I sample all the entrees.

Here’s the NYT review

“This is the New England seafood shack you’ve always wanted, whether you knew it or not. Dockside on the Mystic River, Haring’s looks like the former marine fueling station and lobster pound that it is: the kind of place where you can put your feet up on the wooden railing, spread some smoked bluefish on Ritz crackers, eat a fried cod sandwich or demolish a succulent steamed lobster. A guy from the local package store — New Englandese for liquor store — will even bring you a cold six-pack or bottle of rosé. But you could also opt for the clapboard dining room and eat things like seared tuna with jasmine rice and pickled cucumbers, steak frites or fragrant squash curry. Haring’s chef Chris Vanasse and the Port of Call’s Reneé Touponce are chef-partners in 85th Day Food Community, the Mystic-area restaurant group that’s glowing up the area.”
