Very disappointed. I got a livermush egg and cheese on toast and my livermush was so hard I couldn’t even eat it. The service and food isn’t good like it use to be.

My wife and I ate at The Pier in Marshville NC . We both ordered the flounder dinners that came with a delicious salad bar , choice of potato and hush puppies. The hush puppies were a little disappointing as they were greasy and hard . I had a slight stomach ache later from trying a few of them . Possibly they should let the grease drain off on a paper towel to get rid of the excess grease . That’s my only problem that I had with The Pier Restaurant!
Thanks Wayne

I’m pretty sure this is where the townies go to eat a good food super delicious and the hospitality was a 10 out of 10. So if you’re on a road trip highly recommend stopping here to get a genuine feel what South Carolina is all about. And definitely try the buffet.

Stopped on our way home from Charlotte. It doesnt look like much on the outside. The building def is older and you can tell its a local haunt by the way the customers seem to know each other. The server was sweet and kept my dads coffee full. They messed up my order but fixed it and I would have normally been upset considering everyone was done by the time my food came out but it was DELICIOUS. I had the broiled flounder and scallops. So good! Even my 11 year old enjoyed it. The hushpuppies were really tasty too and stayed crispy for several days. I was eating them cold Overall, a great local spot. Id eat there again.

I have been a regular at this establishment since I moved to Marshville in 1997. The peir was recently sold by the long standing owners a few months back and is now ran by Hispanics. Today was the worst treatment I’ve ever expat any restaurant ever. I got their buffet and no sooner I sat down to eat I find a long black hair in my food from the buffet today! I completely lost my appetite at that point and went to pay only to get told they were out of Togo cups. I found that really hard to believe so I asked, so Togo customers can’t order drinks. The owners daughter said no. I returned to my table to drink some of my full glass of tea that I just paid 3 dollars for only to watch the owners daughter give a Togo customer a Togo drink. I then stopped back by the checkout and told her she shouldn’t lie to their customers especially loyal regular customers that come their multiple times a week. She smirked and said that’s fine. I will never eat there ever again. They have lost my business for ever! I never even mentioned the hair in my food either!

The service was not ok.
My wife informed the waitress of finding a hair in her coleslaw. The waitress looked at the hair and took it out of my wife’s hand and rubbed it off her hands on to another chair. Instead of shutting down the salad bar and cleaning it out. She didn’t report the hair incident to her supervisor nor did anyone check the saladbar or shut it down. To make matters worst hours later when I got home I had a serious case of diarrhea. I will not eat there again.

I called and asked for fish and shrimp combo options she told me they had one for $16, however they had a special for 14. Whenever I asked about the special they looked at like I was crazy. I went ahead and paid to keep from showing out. Then I called for an explanation. She was like ok, but whatever. Never again!!!
