Food and service was great BUT

and this is a BIG BUT
The parking lot needs attention. I was walking back to my car and the heel of my shoe got sucked into a small DEEP pothole and I fell and scraped bruised my knee really bad. I have included pictures of the location of the people eating hole. Avoid parking in front of the tree.

Would I visit again? Definitely. Food and service were great. I won’t park where I parked again.

I had the Super Beef Burrito. It was very bland. No flavor. I only ate half of it. The ground beef was ok, just no flavor. The chicken was stringy and bland. It was just blah. The beans were fine. The rice was dry. It’s very hard for me to give a bad review to a restaurant. It just wasn’t good. The Modelo draft was a good deal and very good. The service was excellent. The staff is very friendly. Would I eat here again? No.

What a delightful experience! Food was great – fresh, quality ingredients, drinks were delish, and our server (Angelica) was top notch! We’ll definitely be back – can’t wait to check out their patio (it was raining when we were there).

We’ve been to multiple Cozumel locations in the area and some are better than others, and this is definitely a great one! The restaurant was very clean, waitstaff was attentive (Valaria was an excellent waitress), and food was tasty! We enjoyed the Burrito a la Diabla and Cozumel Burrito from the special menu as well as a classic margarita. Looking forward to our next time there!

I saw a cucumber daiquiri on the menu and was intrigued. Never heard of one of those. Sounded refreshing! Our server looked at me like I was insane! Lol she checked with the bar. The confirmed and we proceeded. It did not disappoint. Highly recommend it!! I ordered the taco salad with steak. Tender lil bits of steak! Delicious! My hubby ordered the Cozumel fajitas and will be eating it for 2 more sittings as the portion was so generous. He said the shrimp were great. Everything tasted fresh. They weren’t boring crusty refied beans you get at some places. Great flavor. Will definitely be back. Good stuff

If your eating in restaurant then likely your food will be correct. If taking to go, it will not and they will not correct issues. We ordered chunky guacamole with roasted corn. What we received was best described as salsa. Tacos were not wrapped so all filling came out and that filling was not as ordered. We ordered taco salad with breaded chicken. It was shredded. We took the guacamole back to have it corrected. They refused and said it was correct. I ordered the same dish in restaurant and it was great. We have ordered to go when the site first open and the orders were incorrect then to be thought just busy first week open. If you order to go just check everything before you walk out. I attached a photo of what they sold us and the pic from menu. No guacamole in mine.

Haven’t been to a Cozumel in years & for lot of personal reasons decided to try self care by getting something to eat. I was surprised (idk why, with everything now) that one carnitas dinner was 20 bucks…but came here to say it a really large portion. There was a LOT of meat in this dinner and all good pieces (not fatty, etc) and it seems like they include a bigger stack of tortilla than I remember in the past. And the guacamole was fresh. Chips & salsa always came with it but obviously that’s food too and point is it really was a lot of food for $20. Worth it all day.

Meh. Waaaaaay OVERPRICED rice and beans…
Everyone knows when you eat Mexican you’re getting filled up with 80% tortilla chips & salsa, rice, and beans. Those main ingredients are extremely cheap. I don’t understand where cozumel gets off charging the price they do for their dishes, but it’s ridiculously high. They are priced like they are a high end Michelin star Mexican restaurant when really they are mediocre and attached to a bank. Paid $46 for a to go meal and once again, it was 80% chips, rice, and beans. The sad part is it mostly gets thrown away because Mexican food the next day just doesn’t cut it. So we essentially paid $46 for a burrito, quesadilla, a small tortilla filled with beans lettuce and tomato they called a chalupa, and some queso dip. If I dropped $50 on pizza we’d be eating for days, instead at cozumel we get very little good food with a maximum amount of weak rice and beans.

In my mind it is not worth the price. There is too much competition in the area to get ripped off. I can go elsewhere and get the same amount of food for $20-$25 less for what I paid, yet it will taste the exact same. Low end mexican food is like breakfast, it is hard to get wrong and tastes the same. I’ve been to a high end mexican restaurant and it was nothing like the slop I was just fed.

I will not be returning to this restaurant let alone any cozumel in the near future. I highly recommend you find somewhere else to spend your hard earned money on. Heck go to the grocery store and buy some tortilla chips, rice, and beans for $10 and you can make what cozumel will give you for $8 and eat for a week.
