Bad news first:
We went on a Wednesday evening, ordered a Maxwell polish. A third of it was burnt to a crisp. Hoping this was a one off because we’ve been there before with no issues, we went back on Friday, same order, worse issue. This time one whole side was burnt to a crisp! Called the store, the manager was exceptionally kind. We took it back so he could see it. He was shocked!
Good news:
He reimbursed us, gave us new non burnt food and threw in some dessert. Our goal was to get them to see this is not acceptable. No one expects to pay for food they can’t eat. I know the cooks can get busy, often working alone since everyone is short staffed, but I’d rather wait a little longer to get edible food than to get home and find out I can’t eat what I just paid for. Take pride in what you do no matter what it is and I promise your efforts will get noticed and rewarded. We will continue to patronize the drive through store but might have to check our order before driving away. And please try the chili dog – it’s always delicious!

I received great customer service from one of the order takers Donovan. He greeted me with a smile. He was very helpful, polite and patient. Customer service has gone downhill at a lot of places so this experience was refreshing. The food was exactly what I ordered, neatly prepared and delicious. I would definitely return in the future.

Preferred beef sandwich and fries. Didn’t check bag immediately, .5 mile away discovered no fries. Went back and they told me to pull up and they get me the fries. Set for five minutes the first time on the order, which was not a long time set for seven minutes waiting on the fries and noticed that many people behind me were getting their orders. Not until I flagged somebody down. Were they able to get me the order of fries, but still waited another 3 minutes. Fries were cold and old. Won’t be going back to this location.

Every time I come to order, I ask for my fries to be well done and they never are. Also, this is the second time I have received the wrong order. Or they didn’t they just made it wrong. The company needs to get their employees a little bit more trained or they need to start paying attention.

I have never in my life had a worst experience anywhere than this place. Every single time my family orders here it goes horribly. I just spent 68 dollars in the drive-thru only to be missing half of the order, 2 wrong drinks, half of the drinks filled, and 2 peppers in the container. AWFUL service.

I usually don’t write bad reviews I’m hoping it reaches the people in charge. This place is disappointing. I treat Portillo as a treat. I’ve visited this location 3 times and all 3 times food is gross. Burgers are so greasy that the bun is soaked in it and doesn’t make it taste good. I order crispy fries to go with my cheese cup and yet to get crispy fries. Always taste undercooked. My advice for this place is it needs to be supervised with better management and employees should be trained properly. I don’t see this location lasting long if it continues like this. I’m sure others feel the same way but don’t take the time to write anything or say anything. So here I am letting you know this place needs a lot of work.

I never leave reviews but someone in Mgmt needs to see this .Tried this location several times however they continue to deliver a poor experience.. order is always wrong, cold , or short something. Will not visit this location again or even consider spending my money on this run down brand. Dic Portillo would never stand for this lousy service or quality. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Was excited to have a portillos so close to home but the excitement was short lived. We only ordered two meals off the menu and a cheeseburger a la carte. It must’ve been too confusing as we got to the window they only gave us the sandwiches without fries and drinks. That took a few minutes to fix. Get home and the only thing that tasted like portillos was the Italian beef.
The cheeseburgers were not up to par and one of them had bbq sauce, which I’m sure was meant for a different order. In addition to that all the food was cold. My recommendation would be to skip this place altogether or go to the Harlem location or go to buona down the street.

Ordered in drive thru and the staff were very friendly. Spent 30 dollars for a cheeseburger, chili cheese dog large cheese fry and a breaded chicken sandwich and a large coke easy ice. The fries were half filled. If I’m paying for a large fry I expect a large fry. The bottom bun of the cheeseburger was soggy and inedible. As if it were sitting in the steam tray for hours. My large Coke was also wrong they gave me Dr Pepper. And I ordered easy ice because they always over fill it with ice because that’s how corporate saves money on syrup. this time they literally put about 5 ice cubes. Now I see why this location has 3.3 stars. I was in the fast food industry for 13 years. And if was the boh manager or the expo employee I’d never let food go out like that. You should be ashamed of yourself and your management at this location. Guess we will start going to buona.

The person attending to us was very kind and had our order down perfectly! It was until we actually got the food that everything went downhill. Our milkshakes weren’t filled all the way to the top and I had ordered 1 strawberry, 1 chocolate cake, and 1 salted caramel. But that’s not what I got!!!! Instead they gave me 1 strawberry and 2 salted caramel. To say the least, I was very disappointed by the kitchen and won’t be returning soon. Worst Portillos I’ve been to so far.
