I placed an online order this past Sunday from Ta’am Thai in Pikesville totaling $73.14. This was my first time ordering from them, based on the positive reviews, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.
I ordered the Thai hot wings, spicy tuna roll, drunken noodles, and the sushi bomb. The spicy tuna roll was the only item that tasted fresh and met expectations. The wings tasted like old, refried leftovers, the drunken noodles were dry and completely lacking flavor, and the sushi bomb was nearly empty inside, missing the generous filling the description implied.
I called immediately after picking up and tasting the food to express my dissatisfaction. I was told that a refund would require manager approval, and that someone would get back to me. On Monday, they offered to remake the meal, which I declined. After all, I had already tried three different dishes and was not interested in giving it another shot.
By Tuesday, I followed up again and was told the manager would only approve a credit toward a future order—not a refund—even though the food was picked up, not delivered. That reasoning felt dismissive and irrelevant. I explained again that I had no desire to order again due to my poor first experience, and was told I would receive another callback.
I eventually spoke with the manager, who said she would call me back within 30 minutes—but she never did. I had to call again on Wednesday, only to be told that no refund would be provided. Throughout this process, I made multiple calls over three days and felt like I was doing all the follow-up, while the restaurant showed very little initiative or concern for resolving the issue.
Overall, I’m frustrated both with the poor food quality and the lack of accountability from the business. It shouldn’t be this difficult to get fair customer service when something goes wrong, especially on a first-time order. I won’t be returning.

My in-laws are regulars here, so my review does not reflect what they think because they love this place. There are limited kosher restaurant options (especially for Asian cuisine), so the fact that they have a place they love and can enjoy together is great.
Objectively for anyone else who is NOT kosher – I do not recommend this place at all. Prices are astronomical for Thai and Chinese food – I’ve never heard of a $25 General Tsos Chicken (every other Chinese entree is $25). The thai entrees are $18-29 each…$23 for a pad thai is ridiculous. Even their appetizers for hot wings is like $16…or $18 for 8 steamed dumplings.
If the food was exquisite, that could maybe excuse the price but it wasn’t. I got the drunken noodles and it was not authentic at all. Did not use the flat wide rice noodles, not spicy at all, and just the sauce was wrong. The pad thai tasted acceptable. The only good food I have had there was their sushi rolls. I got a Ben’s roll which was actually really delicious, but steeply priced at $18. I suppose there has to be a bit of an up-charge to maintain everything kosher, but still, these prices for the food quality was not it.
Ambiance – nice lighting inside, but quiet. Service was okay the 3 times I’ve been, but slow at times. My father-in-law got his soup comped for his birthday I believe, so that was nice at least.

Staff is very kind and friendly. They helped us with a big to go order. Some of the dishes are a hit; and some are prepared a bit differently than you’d normally expect (I.e, drunken noodle isn’t with the traditional wide noodle). My favorite dishes were the basil fried rice, crispy beef (it was a huge hit!) and some of the sushi dishes. The noodle dishes left a bit to be desired.
But all in all, a good option especially for those needing kosher Asian food.

Not the best kosher Thai food. I would not recommend due to cleanliness and customer service. Came into the restaurant and the staff hostess and waitress are either in a hoodie and/or sweats. We were the first reservation and the chairs in the booth were damaged. My husband found old rice by the window side. What really upset me the most was I ordered a wonton soup and the broth was hot and the wonton was cold. They reheated it in the microwave with the same soup. Not anything new. There was no apology that the soup was cold or even a brand new one was given. I will not be going back here again. Not worth the taste of food and cleanliness of the place.

The first time my wife and I ate at Taam Thai. I had sub gum wonton soup and volcano chicken. Both were very good. Thai food seems sweeter than Chinese food.

Their Maki roll lunch deal is a really nice treat after a long week.

I dropped in for lunch, specifically a light lunch with sushi. Got the lunch special, couple rolls and picked a veggi spring roll as add on. They may have good Thai food but i would not recommend coming here for sushi. At $10/roll (small discount for lunch), was very plain though with a healthy amount of fish. Perhaps their specialty rolls are better. I would not discourage trying this restaurant but would recommend trying something other than sushi.

. We drove two hours looking forward to enjoying your delicious food. Your website shows that you are open until 3pm, but when we arrived at 2:25pm, the hostess refused to seat us for lunch and only offered takeout. This was very disappointing, especially since we had a child with us and hoped to sit down for a meal. Please review and update your posted hours so guests are not misled in the future.

Fast service, very polite staff. The food was excellent- less salty and more flavor. The fried rice had fresh vegetables and the crispy beef had excellent texture and flavor. We look forward to coming again.

I was in the area and this is my first time coming here. I was excited to get the drunken noodles based on the restaurant having almost a five star review. When I received the order, it didn’t look like the traditional drunken noodles and after tasting it, it tasted nothing like drunken noodles. It didn’t really have any spice or flavor. However, it didn’t taste bad. It just was not what I had expected so for that reason I have to give it a two star. The green leafy stuff in the fish did not taste like basil. If you’re coming here specifically looking for that classic drunken noodle taste, I would not recommend it.
