The flavor of the drunken noodles was great! Spicy and a tad sweet, with the noodles cooked to perfection. However the chicken was like rubber, every single piece. If the chicken improved, I would definitely order it again!
The food is well plated and looks appetizing. Servers are attentive without being overbearing. Taste was fine, but a bit lame on spice. Will.make sure to ask for extra spicy next time.
Update 04/01/24 : we loved the food so much we ordered carry out but was a little disappointed. Food doesn’t taste the same anymore. New cook possibly ? Food was more bland and not as balanced. Thai basil fried rice had only a few basil leaves and was a very small portion. We also asked specifically to hold certain vegetables out and they still left it in there. Not sure if it was an English barrier.
We also ordered chicken larb which is like a mince chicken salad with lime juice fish sauce and roast rice powder… this came out a tad too sweet. Also they added in some chopped lettuce pieces and julienne carrots mixed in to the salad and I feel there were not much chicken in there.
Both orders were extremely small portioned.
Restaurant was clean and restroom was clean and updated. 5 star for the atmosphere. Service was extremely quick. Our order was done within about 7-10minutes but then it was a small order.
Went here for lunch with a friend as we were looking for new lunch spots to eat during the weekdays. Thai Tyme is very close to where we work so why not give it a try. For a quick TLDR, food was average, service was good, atmosphere was very nice.
The Food: For lunch, I went with the tried and true Pad Thai, with a Tom Yum soup as an appetizer. The Pad Thai was good, but nothing about it had a wow factor. The noodles were kind of “wet” when they were served which was a little weird to me it could’ve just been that day. However, taste was just average. The Tom Yum soup was delicious and the flavor was very rich.
The Service: The service was good. The staff were friendly and our orders were brought out in a timely manner.
The Atmosphere: The restaurant was nicely decorated and the place was very clean.
Overall, a 4/5. The Food was little average compared to other Thai restaurants I’ve had, but the service and decor made up for it.
I dined in at Thai Thyme for lunch on a weekday. This restaurant is 5 mins away from where I work and I can’t believe I’ve never tried it until now.
Food: I ordered the red curry shrimp which came with white rice, Thai iced tea and fried wontons. I wish I took a pic of the tea and wontons but I didn’t. Both were delicious. The tea came layered with some type of milk on top which after mixed in made the tea taste sweet and great. The fried wontons were small balls and there were about 5-6 wontons with a sweet chili sauce. The red curry shrimp was the star. It was a perfect blend of spicy and well seasoned. The spiciness was not overpowering and I could taste the coconut milk in it. I do wish the dish came with more rice as I finished the rice and still had. A lot of curry left.
Service: the service was great! I will say, I came to the restaurant about 20 mins after they opened and it was empty therefor I do expect great service. They allowed me to sit where I wanted and immediately brought a bottle of still water to the table. My server checked on me often and was very attentive, even as more customers came in for lunch.
Atmosphere: the restaurant was decorated nicely. It’s small but there is a good amount of seating without it feeling too cramped. They also have a full bar available to sit as well.
I would definitely come back to dine here again
