Compared to other pizza places I’ve been in the United States..and I’m just going to speak here in my hometown of Fort Wayne Indiana, it’s better than the big box pizza places that are here. you can actually taste every ingredient of the food, I had a supreme pizza there layered with mozzarella great tasting sauce every ingredient I tasted separately and together as one. crust was cooked to Perfection not burnt not undercooked cut just right, and boxed beautifully..simply altogether didn’t have to worry about picking a slice up, and everything falling apart.
it was just simply a delight.
from now on this is the only Pizza Joint that I will buy from here in Fort Wayne Indiana that’s for sure they’re called Tasty’s for a reason because they are just that very very very tasty awesomeness and a piece that goes a long ways actually they should charge more for what they actually charge now because they’re worth it so stop here and stay here because you’ll enjoy as much as I did I guarantee it they get Five Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plus dim sum.. ️

Ordered the 30 inch supreme pizza and it was delicious. It was just the right amount of pizza for 8 people with a little left over. The staff is very friendly and will take care good care of you. Definitely will come back! Thanks for the awesome pizza!!!

Ordered pizza for take out and requested a thin cheese large. The guy on the phone said they only did hand tossed dough and that a thin isn’t what they normally do but he would try. He warned me it would come out on the more toasted side.
The pizza was okay, I think it lacked sauce, but definitely had that thin crunch to it and the cheese was good also. The employee on the phone was very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I ordered from here for years. We lived in the neighborhood and really loved the pizza. The people that worked there worked hard and most of the time were overwhelmed. The place itself was a hole in the wall, but the pizza was the best in the Fort. We moved to California before the pandemic but always made it a point get get Tasty’s when we returned. Now they’re closed and it’s a sad thing. I keep hoping they’ll reopen but it doesn’t look promising.

I miss the carryout special. Loved the old Tasty Pizza before it closed. Ordered for the first time since they reopened and got a cheese pizza for dinner on a Sunday. Pizza was pretty good, dough was a little undercooked or almost raw in some spots but tasted fine. Different flavor but still good! A large cheese used to be 7 dollars with the carryout special and am definitely missing that pricing now since I live close and used to order weekly.

I have been a huge fan of Tasty Pizza for years (since they were up on State). But last week I had an incredibly frustrating interaction with them that I’m STILL trying to get resolved.
I logged onto their web-site, placed an order for pizza, indicated the desired pick up time for later that evening, and moved forward with my day.
I leave my office in Ohio, drive 45 minutes to the Tasty Pizza on Fairfield and discover they’re closed. Now, I own that this MAY have been due to the hot weather that day… but there’s NO sign on the door, no banner on their web-site… then, you call the number listed for Tasty Pizza, and it’s incorrect. I call a SECOND number listed for Tasty Pizza and get a pre-recorded message telling me to call a THIRD number. I call that number, and it says the mailbox is full. No way to contact an owner/manager/employee to resolve the matter.
Meanwhile, I have a close-to $50 charge to my bank account for a product I didn’t receive that I’m now having to dispute with my bank. I am NOT a happy camper.

Tasty Pizza is really something special. Not only is the food genuinely delicious, but the prices are fantastic too. (You can feed the whole family for under 20 dollars if you keep the pizzas simple.) It’s been an institution on the south side for as long as I can remember and it’s got to be my favorite pizza joint in the city. Don’t get me wrong, the place is by no means fancy, and the staff can be a little gruff sometimes, but that just adds to the charm of the place. If you’re ever in the area, give them a try and I gurantee you won’t regret it.

Really wanted to like this place close to my new house. The toppings were great, the flavors were good, but both times the pizza and breadsticks weren’t in the oven long enough. All the toppings slid to the middle where the dough was thickets and it results in you spooning cheese back onto your slice. It’s sloppy and a bummer.

We ordered 2 medium pizzas by phone. I was told on the phone that they were a little backed up and it may be about 40 minutes. Okay, understand. I arrived to pick up the pizza 45 minutes later. The guy said they are still backed up and it would another 20 minutes. We finally get the pizzas home. The crust was as thin as card stocks and super soggy and the toppings slid completely off of the pizza.the sauce was extremely salty and tasted like it had turned or was expired. In the end it made us sick and unfortunately we won’t be back. What a shame to live so close to a pizza place that isn’t worth eating.

THIS IS AN UPDATE. I originally posted 2 months ago. I placed an order online with Tasty Pizza on July 27th (one of the historically super-hot days we had this summer). I drove 45 mins from Ohio, only to arrive at the shop and find it shut during posted business hours. The online order had been confirmed, and no indication was given that the order couldn’t/wouldn’t be filled or that they would be closed.
I initially gave the benefit of the doubt that it was hot and they likely made a judgment-call to close so as to keep their employees safe. However, when I attempted to contact them to clear up the matter: the initial number to call that was posted was disconnected. I found a second number online that only had a recorded message that directed me to call a third number. The third number had a full mailbox.
On July 31st the almost-$50 charge was posted to my account, as tho I’d received food from them. I ended up having to call my bank to dispute the charge.
As of Oct 9, 2023 I still have not been refunded my money.
***SECOND UPDATE*** I was finally refunded my money BY MY BANK, NOT TASTY PIZZA in late October. I am so deeply disappointed by the whole experience. Tasty Pizza has/had always been our family’s go-to for locally made, delicious pizza. This experience was unfortunate and I’m unlikely to order from them again in the future (if, at this point, they’re even still in business… I don’t drive past there often enough to know.)
