This was one of the best pork tenderloin sandwiches that I have ever had. The breading was crisp and the pork was moist and flavorful.

My wife enjoyed her “build your own” hamburger with cheddar, bacon, and mushrooms. We started with the fried pickle chips. The breading was quite delicious and crunchy. We also enjoyed the fries and tater tots and already plan to try the “Fry Eagle Fry” loaded tots on our next visit.

The prices were reasonable and the service was attentive.

The restaurant also has many gluten free options, including burgers, sandwiches, chicken fingers, pork tenderloin, pizza, fries, and tots. The owner’s daughter has Celiac, and they set their protocols to keep her safe.

Just left Bertelson Beef and they mentioned they supply the beef when talking of where to get lunch. Everything was yummy!!! It was busy, but we sat and got our menus in no time. I had the crunchy chicken wrap, and my friend had the Ruben that could’ve fed 2 people. It was huge! Spinach artichoke dip was good, and onion rings and sweet potato waffle fries were great. The waitress was so nice and friendly, we will definitely make this our stop after getting our meat supply from Bertelsons.

I went the first night the kitchen was open and waited over an hour just to get an appetizer. There were only four other small
Tables ordering food so not terribly busy. It could have been the staff taking turns holding a patrons baby or the one staff member who seemed to be servicing all tables while the others held the baby.
We finally ordered our food and waited another 30 minutes to be told they were behind and it wasn’t even started yet. We were given drink tokens as a gesture, as if we would be back. My party of two left and went to Garcia’s where we were served our food and drinks in under 30 minutes with a whole restaurant full of people. Plan for at least a two hour experience for this local bar.

I had 6 traditional garlic parm and 6 traditional Jamaican jerk. Both great but the Jamaican jerk was by far my favorite!

I can’t speak for the food or the atmosphere. I have been to this place twice. The first time I waited approximately 20 to 25 minutes to place my order once I placed my order they told me how long it was gonna take because they had just opened the kitchen on a Saturday night. I’m not a restaurant owner, but Who opens their kitchen for the first time on Saturday night? I chose not to wait the 30 to 40 minutes for my food. Forward to the second time I was in there which was today, December 31, 2025. The waitress comes to my table at 1:50 places menus on the table. I asked for water. She comes back and tells me the kitchen is closed. I asked what time the kitchen closes she tells me it’s closed between two and five. I look at my watch. It is 151. I asked to speak to a manager. She acted like there wasn’t one there so I told her about the horrible customer service and this was my second time there and that’s all I had experienced I will not return. I choose to go down the street to Garcia’s where they serve food all day. 10/10 would recommend Garcia’s!!!

Folks, Friends Hide A Way is the place to be. Husband and I ordered a plethora of items to try.
Fry Eagle Fry with Tots as the choice was hands down amazing. Tots had a slight crunch as they should. lt meshed well with everything it came with. YUM!

Boneless wings with HOT honey was amazing, wasn’t too spicy, but that sweet kick you might want the breading wasn’t too much.

Mad-sin burger
Amazing, Burger was a slightly over cooked for my taste, but in fairness I like my burgers still slightly mooing all and all paired with the jalpenos and onion ring was great..

Hide-a-burger also amazing, husband ordered it with a side of hot honey and drizzled that over absolutely superb with the burger and tenderloin.

Our server checked on us a few times, and the owners Josh and Katie came to check in on how things were as well.

A few fun facts, they offer several GF options as a possibility and I love that option!
The meat is supplied by Underwood’s very own Bertelsen Beef which we all absolutely love, if you are from around the area!
