Walked in a few minutes after close, the staff were super nice and served us anyway.
The meat was fantastic. When a BBQ sandwich can stand on its own without the sauce, you know you’re in the tight place.
Past that, the sauces and sides were fantastic. Prices were beyond reasonable for the quantity and quality of meat on the sandwiches.

The restaurant has changed. Being local, I used to get one or two meals a week. I stopped in today for what I thought would be a quick carry out order. Orders beef brisket plate. Took over 15 minutes to get the plate at noon. Not many people there. When I finally got my plate.. it was very over priced 12.00 for a meal without a drink. OUCH!!!! Got the meal. Brisket was so dry I could not eat it. Hush puppies were not completely cooked. Service was terrible. Will not go back!!

Superb BBQ. I have eaten bbq all over NC, including Lexington BBQ and Bridges BBQ. Mojo’s BBQ is right up there with the best. I had the pulled pork and it was great. Very moist and cooked to perfection. Their baked beans, coleslaw and hush puppies were also excellent. Everyone was very friendly and the restaurant is very clean. If you are looking for the real thing, try this place. You’ll be glad you did.

I had the sliced chicken and my husband had the pulled pork. Both were excellent! Sides of potato salad and beans were excellent as well. Quick and courteous service too. Will definitely be back.

Tried this restaurant for lunch at 11:45. Special was 3 ribs but when ordered – they were out of ribs???? Coleslaw fresh and delicious. Brisket tender. Buns need to be warmed- too cold and dry. Really good brisket- we would go back but upsetting when special is stated but no ribs when noon hour just started.

I had the pulled pork plate with mac and cheese and hush puppies. My mother had the same pulled pork, potato salad and baked beans. I will never be returning to this establishment and I will be sure to tell everyone else to avoid this place like the plague.

The brisket is worth the drive down from Asheville! I love that they slow hickory smoke everything. You know the bbq is amazing when it doesn’t even need sauce… 🙂

On a scale of 1-5 stars, the food, the service, and the atmosphere all earned 5 stars IMO. I will definely be back with friends and tell others as well. A great place for a family to enjoy a meal together.
