Visited on a Thursday afternoon and had a lovely experience. Since it was off-peak, it was very quiet, and we received excellent service. The gentleman behind the counter was professional, welcoming, and happy to help.
We tried the pistachio latte and the Queen Yemeni latte—the pistachio latte, in particular, was very tasty! We also sampled a few of their savory and sweet offerings, all of which were delicious.
My only small suggestion for improvement would be adding some comfier seating and warmer lighting to make the space feel a bit more cozy. Overall, a great spot that we really enjoyed!

I highly recommend Queen Yemeni Coffee Shop. We tried the Biscoff latte and the banana bread latte, and they were some of the most flavorful, well-balanced lattes we’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious, plus they have tons of treat options to choose from.

My pistachio cheesecake was SO GOOD! It’s nice to have unique sweet options available locally with an ethnic touch. Dubai chocolate is available. My chai was made fresh to order, so I didn’t mind the extra wait. It was definitely strong! And not too sweet or bitter. All of the members of our party loved their orders. I have yet to try a more “unique” drink, maybe that will be for next time! FYI they do have decaf but it’s only for the “special” drinks (lattes etc) – the actual Yemeni coffee is caffeinated only. Also the mural work is new, and it definitely adds a cozy touch to the place. Our only “complaint”, if you can call it that, is that the door has to stay open for egress capacity; even though we were indoors we did end up getting a lot of mosquito bites that eventually led us to leave a little early. But the drinks and food items themselves are well executed and I look forward to returning!

I’m obsessed with this café! The staff were so friendly and everything was delicious. I got the Queen Yemeni Latte and my boyfriend got the Tangerine Refresher, which was INCREDIBLE. They also gave us an extra slice of the Rose Milk Cake! I’m so grateful to have another late-night spot in the suburbs and can’t wait to go back

Looking for a study spot in Libertyville, I found Queen Yemeni and was very satisfied. When you walk in the smell of cardamom just hits you. It is very pleasant and implores you to try their baked goods and their coffee.
Their traditional coffee has a distinct flavor that I enjoyed (far better than the watered down coffees from other places), with enough cardamom to keep you interested without drowning you in spices. In contrast, their baked goods are not sweet, which balance well with the coffee! Would come back to study here, as I have seen many people come in for coffee, to chat, and hangout!

Cozy place with delicious coffee and a wide selection of drinks. The menu is diverse — from classic espresso to unique Yemeni specialties. Fast and friendly service, and the interior makes you want to stay longer. Definitely coming back!

I live love this place. The desserts are great and I love the drinks. I always try to get something new because I’m trying to taste all of the drinks. My three complaints, unfortunately, are the following:
1) since winter started it always feels cold in there so I’ve been thinking that either the back door is open, the heater isn’t working, or the heater isn’t at 71°F because why am I always needing to wear my jacket inside?
2) the hours are confusing. Why does it say it closes at 1AM yet when I’ve gone the cashier starts sweeping and mopping around 11pm and indirectly giving vibes that it’s almost closing time. I didn’t see a proper sign at the door stating the times so I had to double check Google maps and the shop’s website for the hours. So the moment we have left recently closer to midnight the doors get locked and the OPEN sign gets turned off. It did say 1AM yet the hours are inconsistent.
3) why isn’t music ever played when customers are inside? It’s low key uncomfortable when we’re trying to have conversation and the whole coffee shop can hear. I don’t want to whisper – mind you. We’re not shouting either, but with the small size you can literally hear across the room.

An amazing local coffee shop that truly stands out! They offer a wide variety of Yemeni coffee, both iced and hot, and every cup I’ve tried has been rich and full of flavor. There’s also a great selection of desserts to pair with your drink — something for every craving. This has become my go-to spot for local coffee. Warm vibes, great service, and top-notch quality every time

This place was great! I ordered the pistachio iced latte and I can honestly say it was the best I’ve ever had. Pistachio flavor has a tendency to taste artificial but this one was amazing, even tasting tiny pieces of the pistachios themselves. I also got the honeycomb focaccia, very good, an awesome contrast to the sweet coffee.
If I’m ever in Libertyville again this will be my go to spot!
