Ray’s food truck, La Cucina Internazional, is an absolute gem! If you haven’t had one of his Cuban sandwiches, stop what you’re doing and go now. Seriously. They’re hands down the best in Tampa — packed with juicy, freshly made roast pork and full of flavor in every bite.
We’ve been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. His Spanish food is just as delicious, and everything is made with care.
Ray is also one of the nicest, funniest people you’ll meet. You come for the food, but you stay for the vibes.

I stopped at La Cucina internazionale yesterday. It was my first time trying this place located at 10551 Spring Hill drive just west of Mariner Blvd. The aromas emanating from this place were phenomenal and had my mouth watering. I was greeted by Ray,the gentleman who owns and does all the cooking here which by the way starts as early as 6:30 in the morning. I had a pressed Cuban lightly toasted and a roast pork dinner with yellow rice and black beans. The order was made up quickly and came out piping hot. The prices were right in line with any fast food establishment only much healthier. If I had a choice between my lunch yesterday and a fast food burger, I would definitely choose La Cucina for a quick lunch or a great dinner. Stop by and see Ray and enjoy a great meal. There are even picnic tables to sit down and enjoy your food. Thanks Ray for a great meal. You have a new customer.

Ray’s food truck, La Cuccina Internazionale is one of the best family run establishments in Spring Hill. The food is authentic and absolutely delicious. The portions are generous, and the owner is one of the most friendly people I know.
My brother & I are from around the area, and we walk by his food truck almost everyday. We finally had the chance to try one of his famous pressed Cuban sandwiches, and it was mind-blowing! I can’t wait to visit here again and try more off of the menu.

I was told by multiple people to come here if I wanted the best Cuban in the area. I went and that’s exactly what I got. Perfect Cuban, and Ray is a super cool dude. He actually gave me a small sampler plate to eat while I was waiting and it was .. I will absolutely be back. Really glad I only live a half-mile away, I could actually walk there!

Ray the owner/chef is amazing! The Cuban sandwiches are 8$ and are well worth it! Ray even gave us a sample of his baked beans, rice, chicken spezzatino and ham. This was all really great tasting and Ray makes it all in house no pre packed, previously frozen junk here. Slow roasted marinated pork on the Cuban sandwich with Emmental, pickles, and sliced ham with butter and mayo pressed in a Cuban bread. I will be coming here whenever I am in town for sure. I would recommend calling ahead to make sure he has bread as his place is popular and we got the last 2 sandwiches available before he had to close up to go get more bread at a local bakery.
