Went to Panera at 8:40 (20 minutes before closing) and they ignored us on the drive thru so we around and they turned off all lights and locked the door when we went around. Pulled into Urbane cafe and they were very polite and welcoming even though they were about to close. The workers offered to make us more bread even though they were close to closing. We appreciated the atmosphere and welcoming environment. We will be coming back. Thank you for hiring such positive and hard working people. Much appreciated.

Just had what might be the best sandwich of my life at the Urbane Cafe in Arroyo Grande California. It was hard to choose from the menu but Phillip the manager graciously took the time to advise me as it was our first time here. I had the Southwest sandwich and was not disappointed. It was the perfect blend of ingredients and seasonings. I was also happy to see that it came with a small green side salad —- so much better than chips. We are going to try to come back before we have to leave California.

It’s a nice and clean place for a quick bite. We got of the highway for something else then decided to have a quick meal and we were happy we did it. Food came fast, was warm, fresh and tasty. We might not pass by there again but if we do, we’ll be happy to try them again. I had the sun dried tomatoes chicken and my wife had rib sandwich.

My wife and I love getting the Santa Maria BBQ salad – so good!! We’re also longtime fans of the Salmon Bowl and Mediterranean Bowl. This location is friendly, efficient, clean, convenient and welcoming. Urbane Cafe is fast and delicious but doesn’t feel like fast food. Highly recommended!

I went in to order the special that they have on right now and was told that I could only get it if I ordered it online. I feel like that is a form of discrimination because I have a lot of elderly friends who do not know how to order anything online so they can take advantage of your specials.
I did order something regular price and I enjoyed it very much but I think that your specials online only is totally unfair for a large segment of the population.

Although they have taken my favorites off menu and raised the prices, I found a good salad to order. Too bad it didn’t make up for the overall experience!!
Used to be busier. Almost deserted at lunchtime. Maybe the word is out about the unpleasant noise in kitchen. We won’t be returning to this location.
