Food: We had the apple arugula salad, salmon, chicken, and French fries. Everything was delicious and so tasty! Great quality overall.
Service: Our server was great. He was very friendly and checked in on us to make sure we had what we needed. Great customer service.
Ambiance: the place is on the smaller end so just make sure you know about their max 6 people policy! The food is worth the wait.

5/5 — Honestly one of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time
I wasn’t expecting anything crazy when we walked in, but this meal ended up being a top 10 dinner for us. Everything we ordered was spot-on.
The lamb meatballs were incredible — tender, full of flavor, and the romesco/pickled cauliflower combo was perfect. The delicata squash surprised me the most; it was one of those dishes you keep thinking about after you’re done. And the strip steak was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing.
We wrapped it up with an ice cream sandwich, and it was the perfect ending to the meal.
Service was friendly, food came out at a great pace, and the whole night was just way way better than I expected. Super impressed and definitely coming back. Only wish we had visited sooner!

Urban Kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants on the OBX. The vibe is great and the staff are top notch. We’ve tried almost everything on the menu and enjoyed it all. The Strip Steak is a standout – very flavorful and a generous portion. The Scottish salmon and the crispy catfish appetizer are also favorites. The restaurant is small and doesn’t take reservations, so either arrive early or be patient. It’s worth the wait.

Don’t sleep on this hidden gem in Corolla. Some of the local folks over at Bacchus Wine recommend that ww try Urban Kitchen, and they were top notch. The Salmon & Asparagus appetizer was unique and refreshing. The beet salad was well prepared and the micro greens that accompanied them were super fresh. The pork chop was cooked to temperature and that grit cake was its own vibe. The Pecan Crusted Salmon was the perfect portion size and the accompanied spinach and sauce were a great pairing. The ambiance was casual but nice and the service was on point. I’ll definitely make it a point to come back next time I’m in Corolla. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem that’s a local favorite.

A great experience from beginning to end. We stumbled across this little restaurant tucked away in a shopping center. It’s not very large but there was enough room to be comfortable and socially distanced. The pork chop was the best I’ve ever had. The green beans and tomatoes were unique and different from what I expected. There was a subtle sweetness from the tomatoes and a slight spicy kick from the seasonings and it paired well with the grilled chicken. Everything was fresh and everything was cooked perfectly. Dessert was just as elegant as dinner. The spice cake had the perfect blend of cardamom, Chinese 5 spice, and cinnamon. It was balanced by candied pecans and 2 sauces. The restaurant was clean and the servers were friendly and attentive. Only downside…they will be closing until February.

A cozy restaurant with a small carefully curated menu. The orange tea cocktail was refreshing yet flavorful. Rockfish was tender inside with nice seasonings outside. Catfish appetizer was also delicious with hot tender fish inside a nice crunchy crust. It’s a small place so the wait may be long. If you live nearby you may consider putting down your number and return later.

Urban Kitchen deserves all the hype! Not gonna lie, I was a little hesitant to try it out (despite it having been on my radar for a while) since it’s in a strip mall section next to the grocery store. But don’t let that deter you – the food and drink was phenomenal, as was the service.
There are not many seats inside so the earlier you go the better, especially since they do not take reservations. Made for an enjoyable socially distanced vibe. I feel if they had curtains or something on the front windows to obscure the parking lot views, it would only make it that much cozier.

We have been coming to the Urban Kitchen for a few years now and it’s the food highlight of our OBX vacation. Everything is cooked to perfection and exceptionally fresh and delicious. Don’t skip their salads, which are huge and incredible. I have tried everyone they offer and have to be disappointed.
On this trip, I was hungry enough to order the steak, which was tender as hell and packed with flavor. Their fries are so good too.
The staff is also worth mentioning, as they are so friendly and accommodating.
We will see y’all next summer!

I’ve been sharing reviews for awhile now, and I wish I hadn’t been so liberal with the 5 stars. It cheapens this place. In a word AMAZING.
The food is exceptional. The flavors created by the chef pairing his protein with the sides are on point. They know what they are doing.
I had the pork chop, my wife had the chicken. Both were scrumptious. I actually gnawed at the bone…despite being in public. They also offer a steak and fish..tonight it was fresh caught flounder.
Very clean, they are dealing with Covid by limiting customers and have outdoor seating. Very friendly and professional staff and a GREAT bar menu.
You must visit.
