Saw this place driving into town wanted to give it a shot. Feels like you stepped into a hometown diner from the 60’s. Cassie was my server and was great this is definitely a locals spot to grab breakfast. The good itself is not anything special but the service and the vibe were great. Fun little place to hang with the locals.

Here we have it a rare 5 stars all around…
Daisy Mae’s cafe is superb and probably the most quintessential cafe I have come across in the U.S.
The venue itself is rustic and charming to the point it almost feels like walking onto a movie set. The staff are welcoming so much so it feels like you have walked into a family friends house for a long overdue catch-up.
The food was on point and the service impeccable with Daisy Mae’s granddaughter waiting our table of 8. The food at the price point was excellent.
If I am ever in the area again I will be making the detour to visit.

I was shocked that I didnt like my breakfast. The bacon tasted very salty. A child serving of Hash browns. It was winter time when we went. Grant it we sat in the front where the door lets the cold rush in but you could tell others in the back were just as cold. Waitress was nice. The place wasnt empty. Seems to get good business. Maybe it was just me.

I’m just going to say… the most expensive thing is $16 and that gives you a full course 10oz steak dinner. The atmosphere is classic 60s American diner. These are becoming exceedingly rare. The food is cheap and you can’t expect Michelin star for that, BUT two people came in and got a BLT, onion rings, cheeseburger, chips, pie and drinks for $20. Those two people were us and we will definitely come back! Come for food; stay for the experience.

Wonderful breakfast place with great service. Good teamwork between servers, coffee refillers and wait staff. Our waitress Sonya was very efficient and anticipated our needs. It was difficult to pick an omelet because they all sounded good. My wife chose ham and cheese and it was very good. I chose the Sunday special, chicken fried steak, gravy, hash browns with scrambled eggs, and toast. All of this came with free coffee.

I have to say the fries were really tasty, as was the club sandwich. My daughter enjoyed the burger. We went back several days later, and the food was just average that day. The prices were reasonable. For it being a non chain restaurant I had higher expectations to see what the locals raved about. Some of the sides are canned. I was hoping for fresh produce at the very least. It’s not terrible tasting, just fell short of what I expected. Especially since the mom and pop shops are few in this town. It proves in my two visits that the quality is very hit and miss.

Scrambled eggs were crispy, no milk or water was used to fluff them up. My sausage was burnt. Asked for crispy hash browns, they were not.
