My wife and I dined here on NYE. We had heard very good things about the place. Entering a half empty restiraunt, to be greated by a guy in a beanie hat and track suit bottoms set the tone for a truely forgettable evening. Our table was by the door to the kitchen. We asked if we could move and were told that all the tables were full. We left at 10.30 and half the place had been empty. We waited 40 mins for our starter and 45 mins for our mains. The staff looked like they had just been pulled off the street to serve, and showed no indication of attention or caring. The food was ok. But only OK. With so much choice in Newbury I would not put The Curry Cave high up on your to do list.

WOW WOW WOW – My husband and I walked into Curry Cave and we got a warm welcome and seating comfortable and great decor and atmosphere… Great selection of food on menu. Great wine selection. We had poppadoms whilst making decisions. The food and wine was Fantastic!! We shared a starter, Had mains & rice, Naan breads and sides. We were very full and content. The staff was extremely friendly. The Chef has won UK’s best Chef of the Year at Curry Life award 2025. Definitely will return.. Great Evening out..

I have to say this was the best chicken tikka masala I’ve ever had ,lovely sweet ,mild spice unlike most ctm I’ve had before, really unique flavour.
This will definitely be my new go to restaurant.

Couldn’t recommend enough I haven’t been to the restaurant; have just had a couple of deliveries, the food is top notch as is the service. Totally authentic to me having grown up in South East London and living next to Southall for years. Obviously has a here tint. Love the fact the spice is kept up. Only decent delivery I have had in this area. Ordered twice in a week. Thank you. Will definitely visit the restaurant.

1st time here having had good reports, food was absolutely delicious, prices aren’t too bad, it was very busy, Friday 7.30, a couple of large groups at tables near by , noisy but good natured, will definitely be going back
