The food was delicious. The service was great. The ambient is also great. I love that it’s not so bright in here, it felt private and I can appreciate that.

Fantastic Nayarita maricos restaurant.

Do not miss the “Taco Gobernador.” Marisco El Palma’s taco al gobernador features grilled shrimp and white cheese stuffed in double corn tortillas that are griddled until the outer tortilla is crunchy and the cheese melts. The greasy shrimp are excellent by themselves; they pick up marvelous flavor from both the grill and seasoning. The gooey cheese and crispy tortilla are there for texture. A thin, earthy salsa spiked with roasted chiles de árbol is supplied on the side. The salsa is not necessary, but it helps what already is the best taco al gobernador I have eaten north of San Diego.

Also, be sure to order the “Langostinos,” a plate of buttery, garlicky, spicy, and splendid sea bugs with a hellishly hot salsa verde.

Not much English is spoken within the walls of Mariscos La Palma, as this is the kind of operation built to feed the local community, not food tourists. Food comes out of the kitchen fast, and although this restaurant always has patrons, it’s never cramped.

Been here for 30 just waiting for the rest of my family to get here. Then waited other 15 min for a water to come take our oder. Which is fine then they oderded a drinks then they brought us a drink we did not oder hopegully they dont charges for it cuz i don’t want to argue to day. They do have live music for mothers day but Mexicans celebrate it on the 10 of may so its not to busy today. For it not being a busy day tge lady sure took forever to bring our things. Took them almost an hour for our food to be done. Happy they made the kids food first cuz they were getting fussy. The food came out and it was worth the wait. 🙂 food was good the music was good even though it was hard to talk to each other cuz its a small place for live music.but hey it was ok with me.

Service kills this place. If the rating is just on food this place is five stars. The valve for the food is excellent. The service again is horrible, the people working here seem so unhappy to serve and take care of people. Another bummer CASH Only.
I have to give especially big props on the shrimp tostadas. Excellent value and a huge portion of food.

No refills on drinks, beer is a standard 12 Oz bottle between 3.50-4.50 depending on the origin.

In closing if you’re looking for seafood with large portions and unpleasant service this is your place. Otherwise avoid this joint and head to seafood restaurant a few streets over – Julio

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Not a bad place. I ordered tacos. Relaxed atmosphere, not crowded. Decent prices and the food tasted good. I’ll most likely visit here again. 5 stars.

Please fire the waitress SILVIA, she is extremely rude, she hung up on me because I was letting her know that the shrimp in my to go order she gave us had gone bad. It smelled awful and tasted even worse. She gave me an attitude the whole time, I’m sorry I prefer not to get food poisoning along with my meal! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’VE EVER EXPERIENCED! Though I did enjoy the food, their service has led to the choice of NEVER returning there again.

No access to restrooms if you’re sitting outside to dine you have to drive somewhere else to use the bathroom or wash your hands. We carry our sanitizer with us which was great but never again we will go there. customer service was bad long time to get served the only have one waitress we had to walk inside to ask for napkins and more drinks.

This is a pretty solid place. My family comes here for menudo and stuff every week. One of the best horchatas in town honestly. The staff is nice, if they seem out of it check yourself, some people can’t help but have rbf, maybe something serious came up. Anyways this place does bring in some bands which is pretty cool, or at least I think it still does. It does get loud sometimes but it can’t be helped. Nice little place.

The service is absolutely atrocious. My husband and I seated ourselves and waited about 5 mins before the waitress came to drop off some chips and menus. Half way through our meal I asked the waitress to refill my chips, she appeared bothered by my request and made sure I waited at least 10 mins at which I kindly reminded her again about my chips. Finally after she brought my chips my husband decided to order 2 fish tacos. We waited 20 mins and still hadn’t received the tacos at that point we decided to pay our tab and leave. The food is absolutely delicious, but the food alone can’t save this place.
