Today I wanted roti badly. Typically I go to a restaurant off Covington but wanted to try someplace new and see where else in the city sells great roti. So glad I decided to take a chance with DJ’S Caribbean Kitchen.
I was welcomed upon entering the business and created by some lively music. The food was well seasoned and a great portion. Next time I will get my roti wrapped so the sauce can ensure coat the roti. Definitely adding this to my rotation. It’s worth the drive.

First time visit Lizette was very pleasant and friendly. The food was very good with lots of island flavor. Will definitely go there again, you do get your money worth I dad Oxtails with Peas and Rice with the cabbage and the Goat Roti, excellent . Next visit we are having the breakfast, the bake and shark It’s a must try spot on Godby Road.

Food was delicious! I got jerk chicken, mac and cheese, cabbage and channa. Everything was seasoned well. Jerk chicken was the right amount of spicy. I also sampled other proteins. Everything was on point! Staff is very nice. Shout out to Chef Joel. Definitely recommend.

If you’re going to charge your customers a hefty price on food, at least make sure it’s done right. The food was not good at all. The oxtail fat wasn’t trimmed.The most disappointing part of the dish were the sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes came straight from out of a can. Didn’t even try to tweak them and give them any type of flavor. The stew chicken didn’t have flavor. And you all used way too much browning on both the oxtail and stew chicken. The macaroni and cheese lacked flavor. The rice and peas were ok.

Very inviting and understanding… I dont like my food to touch so they gave me extra boxes. I got to meet the chef and he is very handsome Good Man he was very professional and nice. I enjoyed my food and it was all good. Oxtail falling off the bone. Jerk chicken was prefect.

Huge portions at an affordable price. Friendly and attentive service with a huge selection of drinks and desserts.
Got the lunch special, which comes with rice and peas and you get to pick a side and a chicken main dish (I got the brown stew). Everything was excellent.
It’s definitely more of a pick-up order spot, but if you do choose to dine in, there’s plenty of clean tables.
Will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu.

My first time here and I will definitely be back. I got the chicken roti. It was hot and fresh. I meant to take a picture, but once I opened it, it flew into my mouth.Try them, they won’t disappoint.

Doubles and corn soup— only offered on Saturdays and I’m glad I came and got some. Both 10/10 and I’ve had plenty of doubles to compare. Curry chicken lacked taste, had to go and put my own salt on it, would not get that entree again. But very large portion for a small plate. Maybe will just stick to the soup & doubles next time

The service was amazing but the food was absolutely terrible. Collard greens definitely had zero seasoning and tasted bitter. The Mac and cheese had a little flavor but still disappointing. Lastly, THE OXTAIL tasted like oil and browning it was hard to eat.
