Stopped by for the first time since Jungle left. The food is still pretty good.
Spicy chicken teriyaki had good flavor, but a bit on the dry side. It came with a salad which had a nice teriyaki-shop style dressing. Sweet, creamy, tangy, and savory.
The sushi rolls were surprisingly well made. The rice had a nice texture with a bite and it was mixed with great vinegar flavor. Spicy tuna rolls were lovely with the radish sprouts too.
My husband got the killer shrimp roll and liked it even more than the spicy tuna.
Would stop here again for sure, with hope that the chicken will be a tad bit juicier next time.

This was my 1st time ordering and I will say that the portions were very generous and the food was good…. But the cooks area was pretty gross looking and I am not sure I will eat there again.
The photo is of a aluminum roasting pan they had covering some food to keep it warm on the grill. Looks like they’ve been using the same roasting pan for months and it’s never been cleaned! And those are streaks of old looking grease running down the side of the grill!

My family has been ordering here for a few years now. I believe they recently were taken over by new management, but the same menu and good quality we have always come to expect is, if anything, even better. Their prices are on par or slightly lower than most teriyaki restaurants in the area. While there is a small sitting area, this place is an extension of a local convenience grocer, so most people order for takeout. We love their food and highly recommend.

This is the best Teriyaki food! The Chicken fried Rice and the California Sushi roll are truly delicious, if you’re on the road and hungry I highly recommend stopping here to get some warm and yummy food! ✨️100/10✨️

Under previous ownership, this teriyaki was undoubtedly some of the best at a great price. However, under new ownership, the portion sizes have decreased and the price has either raised or remained the same, so you get far less value. Most dishes taste worse, some about as good though different – none are better than before. Either way, the food’s taste is now about in line with most other teriyaki restaurants, though the cost is a bit above.
It’s certainly convenient as someone who lives nearby, but I don’t think I can recommend it universally like I did before. Don’t get me wrong – you’ll certainly be satisfied with what you get, and it’s better than most places in Monroe – it just lost the magic.

If you look at most recent reviews, especially ones done that knew of previous owner, you can see this place went down, and I mean to the bottom. I used to eat here often, but then took a break, and now feeling like some more teriyaki I go back, and to my amazement the owner is completely different. I ordered my usual, spicy chicken and rice, and when I get home I was extremely disappointed. The chicken has no sauce, the rice is absolutely horrible and like said by others, prices went up for way less quantity, and lower quality food. I rarely ever make reviews, especially negative ones, but don’t get fooled by past reviews from previous owner. I belive for all the locals that used to enjoy food here, its time to move on.

Ted is the new owner and he’s so nice! He still does teriyaki. People have spread rumors that he doesn’t so I have to squash that here. The food here is great and has great customer service. I recommend stopping here on your way through the valley.

The owner is AMAZING! He treats everyone like a regular whether you’ve been there a million times or its your very first. The food is absolutely the best Teriyaki I’ve EVER had! The service is fast and the prices are great for the portion size!!!

I typically order only one thing every time, but it’s always good food. The portions are generous and their speed is excellent.
Edit: Changed to one star due to staff being inept in ensuring food is given to the proper customer. We placed an order and waited the hour until it was ready. When we arrived to pay for the order we were informed someone took our order and it would be an additional wait. They didn’t offer to compensate us for their inability.
