After waiting in the designated pickup area for about 5 minutes, I was acknowledged and informed that my order was being prepared. I waited an additional 5-10 minutes, during which the serving line grew very long, but my food was nowhere to be seen.
When I inquired about my order a second time, the cashier surprisingly told me that they had to serve the people currently in the line before they could prepare my order. This was confusing, as I was already acknowledged for pickup.
Eventually, the line cleared, and the food prep staff seemed to be restocking rather than preparing my meal. I asked a third time. The lady at the register apologized and finally stated, “my food is now coming out.”
I ultimately received my order after an estimated 20 minutes of waiting. While the staff were eventually apologetic, the justification for delaying an acknowledged pickup order to serve walk-in customers was frustrating and resulted in a very slow process.
I hate Panda Express. The food is gross, and the meat tastes so questionable it makes you wonder what corner of the supply chain it came from.
I had told myself never again. But I went against my better judgement and returned for the last time this time. I only came back here because it was convenient and close by. That’s it. Convenience should not come with regret, yet here we are.
$13 for a plate and I get two pathetic scoops of chicken like I’m lining up for war rations. Panda Express skimps on portions so much it feels intentional, like customers are part of some corporate hunger control experiment. Acting like each piece of chicken must be guarded with your life is insulting when people are paying full price.
And let’s talk about the mushroom chicken, literally the only thing here that’s even remotely worth eating. They guard that mushroom chicken like it was blessed in holy water and the chicken was personally baptized by Jesus Christ himself. God forbid you get a normal portion; the scooper suddenly turns into Fort Knox.
For the same money, or less, I can go to any real Chinese or teriyaki spot and get several times the food without the audacity. Panda Express offers FEMA portions, inflated prices, and zero value.
Next time I don’t care how hungry I am. I’ll go to 7-Eleven or I’ll simply not eat at all before I let this price-gouging, penny-pinching, war-rationing excuse for a business take another cent from me.
They have stop giving the amount of food your money use to pay for. This is the second time they have done this to us, 8/27/25. Even though the food is good we feel they are ripping us off so why continue to purchase from them? We ordered through GRUBHUB however, Panda Express are the ones ripping us off with the amount of food they use to give us for our money. We get delivery service from GrubHub. I do not think this questionnaire is for what I am saying.
