Jon Smith Subs is the place to go! I’ve tried many sandwich shops, but nothing beats the freshness and quality they put into every order. The bread is baked daily, and the meat is grilled to order right in front of you.
The Steak Bomb- one of the best subs I’ve had. It’s loaded with tender sirloin steak, grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, bacon, tomatoes, and gooey provolone.
You have to get the fries! They are always hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. These subs are massive and definitely live up to the ‘overstuffed’ reputation. It’s great value for the amount of high-quality ingredients you get.
The staff is consistently friendly and fast, even during the busy lunch rush. The shop is always clean and welcoming.

I’m a regular here and it never misses. The steak bomb sandwich is always packed, flavorful, and super satisfying every time. Plus, the new music they’ve been playing lately is such a vibe. Great food, great energy!

Under new ownership and it shows! The place looks so much better after the remodel—cleaner, brighter, and more welcoming. The team was super friendly and the food was fresh and made fast. Jon Smith is officially back on my rotation. Highly recommend!

I’m tired of being negative and just have constructive criticism. One day I get the Cajun cheesesteak. It would be good without the mayonnaise but the biggest problem was there was way too much much Cajun seasoning on it. Almost inedible. I couldn’t finish it it was way too salty and just gross. The fries were good I liked them.
Next time I return, get a chicken steak bomb. Hard to put too much seasoning on that, right? No mayo. It was pretty decent, not bad kinda good. I’d get another maybe why not. The fries though. This brings me to your reviews, cleanliness is a red flag. They gave me a stomach ache. Something dirty was in my fries bruh.

It really pains me to have to write this review, as a native of Palm Beach county who has enjoyed the locally-owned Jon Smith Subs restaurant chain for many years. Unfortunately, the Royal Palm Beach location was in very poor form tonight. There were only two employees working on a Saturday night and they were completely overwhelmed by the volume of orders coming in and grumpy. Fine. I can understand being short-staffed. However, I witnessed one of the employees handling raw meat, bread, cheese and then the cash register all while wearing the same pair of gloves. This is a health concern. Then, that same employee brought a food container over to the other employee and showed them something inside and scolded them saying “this is going to make someone sick”. All of this was in full view of everyone in the restaurant thanks to the remodel which has made the food preparation area completely visible (a good thing!). I asked for a refund after watching this play out for almost a half hour while I waited for my order. I hope Jon Smith reads this review and makes some changes at this location, because it was really sad to see.

I hadn’t visited this location in a while and boy has this place been turned around. Place was clean with fun music to give the place ambiance plus the subs were FIRE! Will definitely come back soon!

This Jon Smith needs a major remodel. Dirty, poor lighting, grimy. Open sign not turned on, understaffed, no employees wearing Jon Smith uniforms, took over 30 minutes to get order made. Order was wrong, “award” winning fries were burnt and used from old oil. I’ve been to several other good Jon Smith locations, but I was shocked at the Royal Palm location, I can’t believe Jon Smith puts his name on this place.

Went to lunch at the Royal Palm location and was shocked to see how dirty and run down this is. As the guy was cooking he started sneezing and watched him not wash his hands. There were 3 employees all chatting and they were all sharing Stories about customers! I was shocked at the language it seems they took shots at even fellow employees. Saying one lives in a mental health facility. It’s a shame I loved this place but will make the drive to the one on congress ave.

Rude rude woman working ,by herself then after 10 min calls the guy from the front to help. Meanwhile my order was ready for pick up right behind her but she refused to listen to me so I waited for 10 more minutes. Got my food after her attitude that I was right. Hire better people and put more people

The food is not the reason for the 3 stars. The steak bomb is great, however, the overall upkeep of the place has quite a few question marks around it. Overhead lights need replacing, the store lacks adequate air conditioning and I believe the store just needs a fresh deep clean. With these issues persistent, the atmosphere seems very depressing and unwelcoming. I don’t blame that on the staff entirely as much as I blame that on the owner/general manager. Check out the location on Southern and Dixie Highway. Much different atmosphere, way more upbeat, and the store is cleaner and more well-kept. Take notes from other stores and improve. Also, the fries I ordered were a bit soft and not crispy. Outside of that, the sandwich and drink was great!
