I’ve been to this taqueria a few times now and have not had a consistent experience in regards to the food.

The first time I went it was not very memorable and hadn’t been back for about a year until my wife said we should give ’em another try.

The second time was actually a very good food experience. The tacos were excellent and the super burrito was absolutely huge and stuffed with really fresh ingredients. I usually substitute refried beans for whole pintos and they did so with no problem.

The third time was about a month later and this visit was based upon my last experience. Well, this was the most disappointing of all visits. The tacos were very small compared to the other visits and compared to comparable taquerias as well, but the price was still as if they were much bigger. The super burrito was much smaller this time and was missing a substantial amount of Carne Asada. They were not accommodating of the bean substitution this time either.

I had Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos and they had great flavor, just small for the price.

The service all three times was very good, we had to wait a few minutes for our food but that’s not a problem when everything is prepared to order.

There was a strange hand written sign taped to the menu board saying “Prices may vary”. Not sure what that means. Can they charge what they want when they want??
If you need to adjust prices on a regular basis, do so but don’t have fixed prices on a menu board then a taped hand written sign saying that I may be charged something different. It feels like if they are having a bad day in the till, they can charge me more to make up for it AND skimp on the product.

We may try them again but with all the great taquerias in the immediate area, they have been downgraded.

Based on my last experience, I’d give them one star but I gave three due to having a great experience and a fine experience as well.

Go and make up your own mind.

If you like my reviews, hit the “Thumbs Up”!!

Might be the yummiest carnitas torta I’ve ever had. Super soft bread, stacked with carnitas, tomato, avocado, a little lettuce, and Salvadoran pickled veggies (curtido), then smothered in chili relleno sauce. Soo good. Food coma lasted two hours afterward.

Poor service, overpriced, I paid 4usd for each taco with only one tortilla, a little amount of meat, no roasted onion, and the meat tastes like when it has days of cooked they used to have a better times when it used to be Taqueria Mendoza, now is called taqueria Aide. it says on the menu that they have inside,

I’m not sure what happened. The place was great, and I used to recommend it. But, in the 4 times I went over the past year, my daughter and I became seriously ill. The last time I went, the meat looked uncooked and was salted to the point of in-edibility. I hate to give such a bad review for a family owned business, but I believe it to be a health hazard. There is a nice Mexican food restaurant down the street with comparable prices, and great service.

So glad to have found this place. Their green salsa had me sweating, and takes a lot of heat to get me there. Only tried the tacos so far, and they were great. Tons of cilantro, crunchy onions, and two bucks each. Can’t wait to see what else they have. Super nice service as well. Big thumbs up. And the pickled onion at the salsa bar are the bomb.

I went in on the weekend and was blown away and the quality of carnitas tacos. It was cash only and they only spoke a little English. The restaurant is run by different people on the weekdays. I was the only gringo and everyone else was eating soups.

First of all to the patrons that think this restaurant is expensive for its quality, it is not. Try buying 4 dollar mini tacos somewhere else now THATS expensive. 2.89? Get outta here. The asada, pastor and lengua tacos are to die for. Havent tried anything else, but when youre either 1) very hungry 2) craving tacos or 3) have the munchies, this is a good spot if youre in the area. The salsa for the chips is bomb – the green one is at least. Be careful with the red because its a lil spicy.

Living in California we have a lot of access to authentic Mexican food and honestly this is the worst we have ever had. We ordered “steak” tacos, Al pastor nachos, a super burrito Mendoza and horchata.
Both of us didn’t even want to finish our food. The meat was poor quality, burnt with lots of gristle. The “steak” on the tacos was definitely just fried ground beef full of grit, NOT steak, had barely any onion or cilantro on them, and just tasted like corn tortilla. The sauce on the everything tasted canned and not fresh. The super burrito was supposed to come with sour cream but it only had a small drizzle of cream on top. The horchata was chunky. I don’t usually leave bad reviews but God damn the food here is garbage.

Fast and Friendly. Authentic Mexican at a reasonable price. If you’re looking for gourmet, move along. If you want to stuff your face with good food and get rolled out to your car, in a food coma, this is it.
Chips are excellent ( I know, chips?); warm, light and crisp. Salsa bar is basic: pickled veggies and Hot, medium and ‘guaca-essence’ mild.

Walked in to three ladies sitting down and talking while eating. No one was at the counter. The sign showing what food was available was in cardboard. A cardboard sign was next to it written in sharpie said “CASH ONLY”. I stood there and the ladies started talking to me in Spanish while eating. I said I don’t speak Spanish. Still sitting down and eating she pointed at the cardboard menu and said “what do you want”.

I felt like I was interrupting a family dinner and this was not a restaurant. I walked out. Unreal this place is ran like this
