Really good food. The 5 meats nachos were delicious! The salsa and chips were fresh and the salsa had a nice kick to it. Nothing crazy but definitely flavorful. It was recommended to try the chicken dish. Really good flavor. Definitely will be back to try more of the menu.

We had lunch here after a hike and we’re pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. The chips and salsa were flavorful, and our lunch dishes were awesome. I had the chicken tamales and my husband had the vegetarian burrito. Portions were large and nicely seasoned. Staff was friendly and we had a great view as we sat on the outdoor patio. Would highly recommend!

Arrived on a Wednesday at 5:30pm. There were two other tables occupied and when we left there were two different tables occupied so it wasn’t busy. We usually don’t order fajitas but wanted something to share as we weren’t terribly hungry. Ordered chicken fajitas with corn tortillas which came with its own plate of sides of rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo. We took home a few tortillas and some fajita mixture minus the chicken which we ate at the restaurant. We enjoyed our meal. On this night, there was one waitress for the whole dining area who brought chips and salsa and then the meal in a timely fashion. Prices were not cheap but sharing the fajitas seemed to make the cost more reasonable.

Yum! This was an excellent find. They have been open about a year. Their menu seems to go on forever, so take sometime to go through it all.

Delicious salsa and chips to start. Fresh brewed, real ice tea. The tamales were top notch. I ordered it with the chili Verde on top and I think that was a great move. Usually, the pork tamales in most places are the best, but I ordered 1 chicken and 1 pork to compare, and I’d have to say the chicken had even better flavor than the pork.

The chimichanga is not for anyone with a small appetite. Well proportioned, and large. Good flavors that come through in every bite.

So glad we chose to give Don Pollo a try!

I love that we have a restaurant with authentic Mexican food here in the valley. Today I had the shrimp tacos. Generous portions, with melted cheese, a variety of veggies topped by a nicely spiced green sauce. Packed with flavor. I also enjoy the crispy tortilla chips with the special seasoning. Some of my other favorites are the torta with Al Pastor meat, the chorizo and carnitas street tacos and the Mexican pizza. Thank you Don Cesar for bringing this great food to our valley!

Today I ordered the Mexican Pizza. So flavorful with veggies and delicious moist chicken. The thin crust was nice and crispy. A great value that feeds 2-3 people, or take it home for left overs. Delicioso!

Sold us a flan that was spoiled and had mold on it. The burrito was nasty and was very salty. Not only do they have nasty food and sell expired things too. But are very disrespectful. The worker just wanted to give us a refund and to be on our way but did it in a rude manner.

First off the positives. Great view of the mountains to the east while sitting at the tables outside. Food was at least warm. Young lady serving was very kind. Food was reasonably priced for the location. Chips and salsa were decent.
Have had issues with flies swarming the outdoor tables at this location previously, but weren’t as bad this time. Just noticed a couple flies swarming the tables.

Cons: Most of the tables outside were dirty unfortunately, so we picked the least dirtiest table to sit at. Seemed as though they were understaffed as there was a table that still had plates and food sitting there from previous customers, and it was still there when we left. Food was a bit bland. Had the steak chimichanga plate. The red sauce seemed a bit old/stale, and not great flavor. Not a lot of meat in the chimichanga mostly filled with beans. I would never reorder that dish again. My wife had the chicken/steak fajitas, her go to at all Mexican restaurants. She said it was just okay. Presentation looked good, just lacked in taste. Dishes were not served with sour cream or guacamole, which was unusual. They didn’t have guac, as they said they were having a hard time getting avocados. Waitress was also the reception gal, and didn’t check on our table much, even with it not being busy. No refill on our drinks until it was time to pay the check.
Overall, likely will not be going back to this location. Was not very busy at 5:00-6:00 on a Friday evening. Only one other customer besides.

Going in to the restaurant it was nice and clean!
One star because…..cheese in cheese enchiladas was not melted and it was supposed to be smothered in red sauce but came covered in green. Overall it tastes sub-par so we will not be eating here again. Very sad since we are local.

the chips and salsa was good. The salsa was very tasty. I think if they had homemade chips this would of taken over the top.
My wife and I shared the Molcajete. It was good it had steak, shrimp, chicken and alot of onions and peppers.

I have never ever been so disappointed at a restaurant. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce, the chips fried in old oil and no salt. They were out of most drinks, all chili verde, out of chorizo and almost half the menu had that stuff. So I ordered a chimichanga and so did my husband. Needless to say chimichanga should not have rice and beans in them. There was hardly any carne asada and what was there looked like minced meat and tasted worse. I will never ever go there again. I would not suggest it to anyone.
