Had a great experience at dPlace Steak & Pasta. The standout for me was their OC Galbi American — incredibly tender, full of flavor, and cooked with that perfect balance of sweetness and char. It’s one of those dishes you keep thinking about after the meal.

Their pasta was also a pleasant surprise. Fresh, well-seasoned, and cooked to the right texture, it paired really well with the richness of the galbi. You can tell they put real care into both the ingredients and the execution.

Overall, dPlace delivers a unique mix of comfort and creativity, and it’s definitely a spot worth visiting if you want something satisfying and a little different.

Today I got to try dPlace, and the experience was very enjoyable overall. As soon as we walked in, the atmosphere felt clean, modern, and welcoming.
We ordered the salads, rosé pasta, and the OC galbi. The food quality was excellent, and the $63 marinated galbi really stood out. It was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Everything was also plated nicely, which made the meal even more enjoyable.
This is a great place to visit with a girlfriend, family, or for a small gathering in a nice atmosphere, whether for lunch or dinner. One of the servers, Jane, was especially friendly and sweet, which made the experience even better.
The price is a bit high for the portion size, but I would definitely come back for the galbi on a special occasion.

Wow.. i think this is one of best fusion korean restaurants in oc. I love this place every time I come. I got gochujang pasta, truffle potato jeon, grapefruit burruta salad, OC galbi korea (worth it and most popular item) , grilled miso bossam and house blend marinade steak. Everything was huge in portion and the dessert was the best. I got.. hotteok ice cream which topped it all. Wow.. I seriously love this restaurant because the interior is huge and beautiful with comfortable seating. The waiters are always so kind and hospitable too. They ask to refill water and ask how ee are doing which is so considerate of them.. they have robots delivering the food but despite that.. the customer service is impeccable.. I love love this restaurant so much. If I ever have guests from korea come to California I will bring them here any day!! Loved their foods and dessert here ~~~~

Saw online about this place and it didn’t miss. My favorite dish was the galbi definitely so good cooked to perfection. Maybe skip the miso bossam and order 2 of the galbi. We also ordered rose tteoboki w rigatoni. It says spicy but I’d say it’s more of a mild flavor. The truffle potato jeon is very good too I love truffle flavor

As soon as I entered, I was greeted with a beautiful interior decoration inside with dim lighting. There were large windows in the booth tables that provided a nice view of the outside. Unfortunately, we were unable to obtain the booth because it must be reserved. Our intention was to try the pasta, but the short rib plate looked so good that we couldn’t resist. The meat was tender but it was decent and I would come back to try more of their pasta. There is a tablet installed in the table, so all orders are placed through the tablet.

Excellent dishes. The korean galbi was excellent just like an AYCE Kbbq. The Carbonara was creamy and delicious. And the squid was perfect. All the flavors were incredible. I would definitely go back again!

Heard good things about this place, so we decided to give it a try. Ordered the OC Galbi Korean & the mushroom and spinach risotto. The food galbi was marinated well, not overly sweet like some other places. The meat’s texture was a good balance of firm/tender, they separate the chewy burnt ends from the slices of meat. Good quality kimchi (only have beansprout & cabbage kimchi). The risotto was decent, nothing spectacular—creamy and large grained. Overall, the food was ok to me but I would like to come back to try their pastas & the lamb rack which all look scrumptious. The workers are friendly and come by to check up pretty often; good service

Apps:
– Grapefruit prosciutto burrata salad 7/10: Nothing crazy, but I like a nice refreshing burrata salad with an acidic twist.
– Fried calamari 5.5/10: Coating is pretty coarse and the calamari was a bit overcooked. Didn’t really like it.

Drinks:
– Grapefruit Pear Cocktail 6.5/10: Not as sour as I liked(maybe that’s just my pickiness). Pear taste isn’t apparent either. Also tasted like plain syrup.

Entrees:
– MyungRan cream pasta 9.5/10: Subtle roe flavors that worked very well with the salty seaweed strips and creamy pasta. Not a 10 because the out of place baguette piece threw me off. Would eat again for sure.
– Spicy Tomato Risotto 8/10: Nice side entree that had a very good consistent taste throughout the meal. Its taste didn’t change(in a good way) over time as it got cold too.
– Miso Bossam 7/10: Had high hopes, but it was a little tough and salty for me. I’ll give the benefit of the doubt since it was busy at the time and try it again. However,I really liked the 쌈 concept being played by having charred cabbage and three different condiments to eat with the pork belly. The perilla chimmichurri was actually my favorite thing from the whole dinner.

Atmosphere:
Went on a Saturday night where it was about 80% full yet it was too loud to eat and talk leisurely. It’s not a dealbreaker, but just fyi it will be a little loud. Interior dining area was nice and modern. Service was great too despite the business. I’d come here again for sure.

I ordered a Coke, but they gave me a Santa Christmas themed Coke in February, which means this coke might expired. Lol

The food is good, but the overall vibe feels off.
I’m not quite sure what concept they’re going for — Korean fusion?
The tables also seem to be positioned awkwardly.
