On Tuesday Oct 14th I needed dessert treats for our retiree luncheon. I was in Southfield at an appt and googled bakeries. Star Bakery was close by and I’m so glad. The lady who assisted me was pleasant, kind and extremely knowledgeable. Guess what? Each pastry I purchased was individually wrapped and I was pleased about that as well. I also purchased a Challah loaf with raisins – wow it was fabulous and ohh so fresh and tasty . Stop by, give them a try, everything in the assortment of 18 pastries were fresh, delicious and scrumptious. Great location with plenty parking right out front on Coolidge. You won’t be disappointed.

My husband picked up an order Saturday morning. When I bit into the apple turnover, it was moldy inside. Tried to call—mailbox was full. Filled in the Contact Us form; still haven’t been contacted.
I finally called Wednesday and talked to someone who agreed that it was horrifying but didn’t offer to replace it, didn’t take my name or contact info. He just said that he’d pass the info along. Totally disappointed. Do not recommend.
