4J’s is a family owned restaurant offering home cooked meals like Gramma us to make. Follow us on Facebook to see the buffet menu for each day. For example we normally have fried chicken and meat loaf on Tuesday, Thanksgiving Thursday (baked chicken, pork chops, dressing etc.), and all u can eat fried fish, wings, and gumbo on Fridays. Omgish! This food is amazing! First time here so my son ordered the Chicken fried steak, scallop potatoes and corn. This was definitely on point. My speical needs daughter ordered fried fish and fries. Fish was melt in your mouth good. Fries were fresh and very well seasoned. Now I ordered the buffet chicken spaghetti( ) scallop potatoes and corn. I don’t normally finish my plate but this one was completely gone. If you want good soul food this is your place. Worth the drive from Tyler! First time today definitely not out last

The buffet was amazing!!! With main dish options being hamburger steak, king ranch casserole, or ox tails and side dishes of beans, corn casserole, mac and cheese, or cabbage you can’t go wrong!!! We had a couple of menu orders as well. Those took a bit cause they are fresh made but worth the wait!!! The owners were amazing as well and probably my favorite part of my experience here. You gotta stop in and try 4J’s. I don’t live in the area but anytime I pass through I’m going to stop in.

Fried fish Friday and it was wonderful! The greens, cornbread, gumbo, and banana pudding just pushed it over the top. Forgot about trying the pinto beans but we will definitely be going back.

I’ve been here for the first time taking my dad with me and I still think I made the best choice ever. This place is definitely what it can be defined as local but in the best meaning of the word: Mr. Johnson and his coworker welcomed us in the restaurant with a wonderful smile and it was just perfect. The location definitely holds memories with everything that is hanged on the wall but the food was even better! I had the best Mac and cheese in the USA so far and the meat loaf was just amazing, as well as the mashed potatoes (and I’m definitely not a mashed potatoes person!). My dad got the fried chicken and he really liked it. The fried corn was pretty good but what left my mouth wide open was the banana pudding that I took regardless of how my tummy was already full because I heard it wasn’t that bad. Once again, best choice ever. Recommended!❤️

Great food and great service. The owner is the chef and both the meatloaf and the hamburger were delicious. Mashed potatoes were creamy and the green beans is what I expect of a southern side. Enough for left overs. We will be back!

This place is a gem! Amazing food and friendly service with huge portions. The meatloaf was incredible, and the cheesy homemade Mac and cheese, fried cabbage, and fried corn were all delicious. Don’t leave without trying their coconut sweet tea – it’s amazing! Highly recommend!

I didn’t know if we were at the right place, very unassuming. Food was great! Chicken fried steak very big, mashed potatoes, yum! Macaroni and cheese, very original. Blueberry cheesecake awesome! Two employees, owners?? So friendly. Top notch!!
