The shrimp enchiladas are amazing! They bring two different salsas out for the complimentary chips and salsa; both delicious. Walls are painted vibrant colors. Mexican music puts you in a good mood. Friendly service and reasonably priced.

Just tried the newly opened El Jimador Restaurant and wow—it did not disappoint! This authentic, family-owned Mexican spot serves up absolutely delicious food that tastes like it came straight from abuelita’s kitchen.
The flavors were on point, the atmosphere welcoming, and the service made you feel right at home. Sometimes, you’ve got to take a little drive to the south of Albuquerque to get the real stuff—and trust me, it’s worth it.
Highly recommend supporting this local gem. We’ll definitely be back! ️

I came in to El Jimador for the first time today. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The people were very friendly, helpful and patient while I browsed the menu. I will be stopping by regularly.

First time me and my hubby went it was so so so good then it went under remodeling have been waiting for it to open we seen it was finnaly opened and didnt hesitate to stop and i have to say i was very disappointed our food was horribel dry the chips in our nachos tasted old barley any meat they made them very very different our chile colorado colorado burrito had green olives in it which was strange not sure what happend but it was expensive and disappointing
