I’m so glad there’s a great tonkatsu restaurant in Columbus! The tonkatsu was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of breading. The portion size was generous as well.
The restaurant itself is small, but it has a charming and cozy decor. The friendly owner creates a warm, homey atmosphere that makes you feel welcome right away.
Highly recommended!!

Excellent Tonkatsu place in downtown Columbus. Very authentic style and flavor like you will find in Japan. You get a lot of food for the price. Fast and polite service. Columbus parking in the streets. Highly recommended!

The food is amazing and very legit. We both had the tonkatsu set meal #1. Recommend the tonjilu soup. There is not much seating available and you have to give up your seat quickly after eating so you might feel pressured to finish your meal quickly to give your spot to someone else who waiting.

After visiting Japan last month, honestly I walked in with low expectations and was completely blown away. The pork was fresh, tender, and juicy. The pickles are exceptional (don’t be scared to eat them ). Onigiri made fresh daily and hojicha tea (toasted green)… hot or cold. Amazing. 100% quality and care, can’t wait to come back.
Finally, the owner came out and spoke with us asking about how we liked the food and offered us more nibbles to try. I’m very proud to have this spot downtown.

Place was pretty small, maybe only 4 tables and a few window bar seats. Food portions was pretty valid for the cost. I got #7, chicken katsu with curry. The chicken katsu was crispy and flavorful, the curry was tasty too. Good place

The superior lunch option in the area. Delicious, fresh, authentic katsu with all of the fixings you’re looking for at competitive pricing (by downtown standards), this has become one of my staple lunch restaurants for otherwise dreary in-office days. If you have any love for Japanese cuisine, don’t miss out on Osaka Ton Katsu. (and bonus for compostable to-go packaging!)

The tonkatsu was truly delicious and prepared with a genuine authenticity. It was also very pleasing to see such a generous portion provided. While the establishment itself is a bit compact, it certainly did not detract from the overall experience. We very much enjoyed our meal.

Delicious! I finally got to try this place out after hearing the rave reviews. It was definitely worth the hype! The employees were very friendly, the food was made from scratch with love, and the decor is the cutest! I’ll definitely be coming again.

Accidentally found Tonkatsu Restaurant here in Columbus. Pictures looked good as real Japanese restaurant served food so stopped in to get it…was good choice and enjoyed meal. Note restaurant seems like small but it serves like Japanese style. Good service and large portion of food!

I would give this Tonkatsu 6 stars if I could. This is the real deal. Ground sesame and Karachi are included! Upgrade the Miso soup to the tonjiru. You won’t regret it.
Only issue is the size of the store. 1 table for 4, 1 for 2, and 5 counter seats.
Parking garage is close by.
