I had an absolute amazing time and meal at 83 Tavern. I had heard of this restaurant opening a couple months ago and looked at the menu online; it seemed good so I thought I’d give it a try. I came out for happy hour/ dinner by myself on a Friday evening. I sat outside on a very nice evening. My server, Tinzin, was so friendly and informative. I asked her what her favorite things were on the menu since it was my first time. She gave me her own recommendations and what customers usually come back for. I ended up starting with a lemon drop martini and the Smashburger eggrolls to start as they were on their happy hour menu and I saw them online. I was not expecting to be blow away. They were hot, crispy, and so flavorful. I couldn’t choose between the two sauces provided, the beer cheese and the secret sauce. I kept dipping one after the other. They were so good that I ended up getting an order to go home. I then had a mojito as they are my favorite cocktail. It was delicious and very pretty with the flower of mint. Tinzin recommended the Crispy Chicken Salad which I thought sounded amazing so I did end up ordering that. Around that time when I ordered the manager, Lindsay, came out to ask me how everything was, to which I told her it was absolutely amazing and that I had heard of this restaurant but I had never been. To which she told me since it was my first time she would like to offer me their crème brûlée for dessert. I kindly accepted because I absolutely love crème brûlée. Shortly after my salad was brought out and oh my goodness. This salad looked spectacular. When I took my first bite I was amazed, the crispy dill pickled brine chicken tenders, the bacon, the avocado, the elote corn, and the avocado ranch dressing. It all worked so perfectly and has become my all time favorite salad. I didn’t want to spoil my appetite for the crème brûlée so I was only able to eat about half of the large salad. Before I ordered an expresso martini to go with the dessert, which was delicious. Then the crème brûlée came out and the top was perfectly crunchy and sounded amazing. It was served with cut strawberries that when amazingly with the sweet crème. Overall the experience was 12/10. I will becoming again and 83 Tavern has become my favorite restaurant in Sarasota. It is decently price with amazing food and amazing service. Side note: I went to the bathroom after my dinner and it was spotless and smelled amazing. Bathrooms have always been something I judge in a restaurant and it was again a 10/10. Thank you so much 83 Tavern for a spectacular evening!!

Great local spot for good food and drinks. Appetizers of cheeseburger egg rolls and nachos were delicious. Burgers were great as well as the chopped cheese! Anastassia our waitress / manager was awesome! Many tvs inside to watch for favorite sport team. ⚾️

We’ve been here a couple tomes and the service has been great each time. The staff is very personable and attentive. Of course with the great staff comes pretty amazing food as well. They have the best nachos in the area. The smash burger egg rolls are top notch. The wings are crispy and very tasty. The burgers are very flavorful and cooked to your liking. We will be coming here often for sure!

I’ve seen a bunch of restaurants rotate through that spot, but this one? Easily the best experience we’ve had there. I brought all the kids, and they were incredibly accommodating—especially for my daughter in her wheelchair. The service was on point from start to finish. Food came out fast, kids’ sodas were refilled without us having to ask, and the whole vibe just felt a step above the previous tenants.
The prices honestly surprised me… everything was super affordable for the quality. I ordered the Burgundy Braised Beef and it was amazing—tender chunks of beef with perfectly creamy mashed potatoes. We also tried the Cheeseburger Egg Rolls (really good) and the Fish & Chips (crispy and flavorful). My Old Fashioned was made right, and I loved seeing a local craft beer option on draft.
For dessert we all shared the crème brûlée and it was heavenly—creamy, sweet, and that perfect torched sugar crunch on top.
Overall, great food, great service, great atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out.

83 Tavern just opened in South Sarasota and honestly… they understood the assignment. Carly and Kailyn took care of us and they were absolute gems—friendly, fast, and somehow managed to keep the chaos of our toddler running smoothly. Love them already.
They were incredible with my son, which earns them about 10 extra gold stars. He adored them just as much as we did, and anyone who can keep a kid smiling through a meal deserves a raise.
Food-wise, we did not hold back. The tuna tower? Fresh, flavorful, and stacked—maybe a touch heavy on the avocado for my personal taste, but still delicious. The smash burger egg rolls were everything you want in a comfort-food a true fever dream, and the buffalo chicken wontons… listen. Whoever decided to batter them like fried chicken deserves a raise, a hug, and maybe a trophy. They were THAT good. They earned my full respect.
Everything tasted super fresh, the portions were large actually worth the price, and the whole place has a vibe. We sat out on the patio, which is blessedly shaded so you’re not slow-roasting while you eat.
83 came out swinging. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back—and next time I’m getting two orders of those wontons.

Our first time at 83 Tavern and everything was amazing! We got the Americana burger with fries and it was the best burger I’ve had in a long time plus the fries are super thin and crispy. Lacie our server was so attentive and sweet. She took great care of us. The management also stopped by and offered a free dessert for being first timers. Must come and check them out!

My wife and I have eaten here a few times, as we live nearby, and each time the food, service and cocktails have been great. Last time I had what was one of the best burgers I’ve had in some time.
Nicely charred patty on the outside and medium rare on the inside, with fixing and shoestring fries….just great.
Sipping a $5 margarita (special that day) only made it better.

What an amazing gem! A friend recommended we try this new spot and I was shocked when I walked in the door. First off the restaurant is beautiful inside, the staff was friendly and made some of the best espresso martinis! Loved the cast iron bread we shared, great pizza and appetizers. Can’t wait to go back!
