Blazing Star was such a lovely experience! The owners and staff were all incredibly kind and welcoming.
I had the Caesar salad and it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had — so fresh and flavorful! I also tried the maple cold brew, which was super delicious, and the cups were so cute (the owner even shared where she got them!).
You can really tell they put so much care into everything here. Overall, such a warm, cheerful spot — can’t wait to come back! ☕️

Stopped in for a healthy lunch today…. We both ordered the Specials, I got Quiche & the husband got the breakfast tacos… We also ordered beverages, a lavender lemonade and a Mimosa. The food presentation, portions & taste were great (could not taste ANY cheese in the otherwise tasty quiche), after we waited a GOOD 20 minutes for the food, and probably at least 10-15 minutes before receiving our drinks. The server never offered us a refill of what we were drinking so when she did ask if she could get us anything else I Opted for water. I would say overall good food, room for improvement on the service

Holy moly, this was good. Sooooo gooood. I’m usually a meat eater but have been trying to switch it up and the rice bowl I had today was honestly amazing. So many flavors I didn’t miss not having meat. This will change your mind on “health food.” I added oyster mushrooms and feta to the Dilly Beet bowl.❤️

Blazing Star offers fresh, delicious, local menu items. If you need, or just desire, gluten free and/or vegan options, this is the place for you. It’s in the higher price point, but you won’t be disappointed, as the bowls are both filling and delicious. They also have a delicious selection of salads.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch here recently! The bowl had a great mix of flavors that all complimented each other and the egg was the cherry on top! The cookie had just the right amount of sweetness, and was sad when I finished it. Looking forward to another visit here!

Super super healthy, can definitely soak up the local veggies and FEEL the nutrients in this whole-food based vegan / vegetarian restaurant! They have a great happy hour special (in February it’s a bowl and 2 beers for $20). They opened about a year ago and i think they have a LOT of potential for sprucing up the decor! Some local art, some textiles or funky vintage finds would go a long way to improve ambiance!

This is my favorite Decorah restaurant to eat at. The food is to die for, especially the mushrooms. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. I really like the music they play.
