What a delight to stumble across this gem in the heart of historic Takoma Park Junction! My best friend and I finished shopping at the Co-op across the street and wanted a bite to eat. We were unfamiliar with the area as we live in DC and took a short stroll the historic storefronts to see what we could find.

Spring Mill Bread Company looked quaint and inviting, with bright red tables and chairs for enjoying their food outside. Inside , we saw a wall of bread, brick walls and beautiful water color art decorating the walls. There was a couch and antique coffee table made from an old wagon. Displays of homemade jams and fresh baked goods including cakes and cookies lined another wall. We selected our sandwiches and were asked the type of bread we wanted them on. All of the bread is baked fresh from their kitchen in the back. We chose to eat inside in the bay window where there was an ample amount of sunlight. Soon our sandwiches were brought to us on a beautiful platter decorated with lemons. Our sandwiches were huge and required two hands to pick them up! So fresh and delicious, we felt like we were on an adventure of a lifetime. If you are ever going to Takoma Park, please be sure to stop by this amazing place.

The service is always friendly and the food is amazing especially the Pesto Melt Panini! The Chipotle Gobbler was awesome as well as our last minute chocolate chip cookie purchase. I’ve love their leek parmesan croissant as well

I love this bakery! I go often to grab bread or baked goods for the weekend or to bring to a friends. Great location in town and good vibes there! Cute place to read a book and relax. I wish they had more Gluten free items for my husband because the gluten free carrot cake they have is always good but the only item!

I’ve been buying my bread here since moving into the area and I’ve always had very positive interactions with staff. Their treats are very good, I recommend the polish apple slices and brownies and I’ve not had a sandwich there yet that I didn’t enjoy. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality. Glad to have this in my backyard.

A cute little local bakery/coffee/sandwich place. The chocolate-hazelnut croissant was delicious and the mocha was well made but the BLT was just ok.

The man at the counter was incredibly friendly and kind in our interaction. He even gave me a little history on the store.

Cute place with lots of seating options. High quality baked goods and sandwiches. I just tried the new one with turkey and cranberry sauce and wow it’s amazingly good. I’ve tried other versions in other places but this one is by far my favorite. The young man at the counter is super helpful and super friendly. I love coming here when I’m in TP.

I tried the lemon ginger biscuit. It was like a boujee version of Bojangles Bo-Berry Biscuit.

The ☕️ was okay.

We came for the bread and left with pastries, brownies and… And… Bread!
And as expected there’s even more with the jams, jellies and doggy treats.
If you’re driving, park a little ways away and enjoy the walk…. Takoma has a fun main Street to walk down. Great people. Great vibe.

I ordered two dozens of bagels and I was shocked. They seem to use to low quality of flour, and I did not see any reason to buy again from this bakery. The WholeFoods bagels are awful, and I hoped that bagels from a private bakery would be better. I had bad luck again. It is impossible to find European quality bread and bagels in lazy Maryland.

Insanely good food—the kind that makes memories. It’s always a welcome atmosphere, and a great little place to have your treat right inside.
