The reason for the three stars is due to the large price increase after the business was sold. I honestly think they have too much labor and that is part of the price problems. The food is great and the ice cream is wonderful but now the business is approaching the level of other ice cream shops and thus they are losing that edge of being affordable.

We had the turtle sundea. Very generous portions with soft serve vanilla ice cream and delicious carmel, chocolate, and pecan toppings. What a pleasant atmosphere, outside with other locals sitting, on a nice relaxing summer evening enjoying a cold treat and conversing. It was like a trip back to simpler days. Add to that, it’s a great value for the money spent.

The definition of small business and family operated. Great options for food and dessert. Prices are fair for ice cream. Sandwich and fry combos can get a bit pricey. All in all its a 5 star experience and would recommend you take the family for fun trip to the Rivertown ice cream and grill

Nice inexpensive place to grab a quick burger and ice cream near the riverfront! Only complaint is that service is a little slow due to there being only one window and you can only oash cash, but all-in-all, good food and good ice cream!
